Well he is a modern "MMO" player. So anything that involves actually chat is prolly considered extreme teamwork.

"<t> <loc> A rank!" is some super high levels of teamwork. That and /shudder joining a party using the interface instead of being automatically grouped through LFG tools

A Veteran MMO gamer knows that the experience of the game is stretched out over years, and if crafted properly, it leaves players with some of the best gaming experiences to be found anywhere.

I'm rather tired of zerg swarm content (even before Hunts were released, they were just called FATEs then.. XD). Though I suppose I won't complain SE is making the content if someone else really enjoys the content and it doesn't cause SE to drastically slow or stop producing other contents.
Actually, I wasn't being sarcastic. Some of those S ranks benefit from having a lot of people working together. Get a group of fishermen and you can pop some of those S ranks in their respective windows in a very short time. Also, I don't know if coordinated jumping parties actually work to get Safat to spawn, but I've seen plenty of those.

They threw people a bone when they asked for notorious monsters and it worked out better than expected. They still have Coil Savage mode slated for release, so that should be plenty challenging enough. At the very least you should be happy that there is some content where social ramifications can be felt for doing something stupid outside of the current Coil iteration. Old school MMORPGs didn't turn people into raiders overnight. Content that exposes people on the same server to one another on a regular basis is a good start.

I wasn't sure if you were or not, but I was serious that it was a challenge to the community, both server and forum lol. I just ran with your sentence because that is exactly how I read the last bit "challenge to the community [emotionally, drama generator]". :P

/Personally/ I find hunts as poorly executed content that is not very fun, but very rewarding at the same time. However I understand opinions are opinions.. if you like it then you like it, I won't argue that. If I had to make a gripe to SE it wouldn't be every content needs to be designed with what I want in mind but rather that I wish there was another content generating secondary-BiS gear. I've had some suggestions like using dungeons, but really just something different then the drama zerg prone FATE like content would be awesome, I'm not a fan of that system.

Entirely possible so I'm not out for hope but I'd also like to see a leve or some other kind of self contained yet world content for monsters (hunts using a riddle leve quest or similar system, monsters found are your monsters and your challenge, not the swarm's).

    Well, lets see.

-Forces people to join zerg crowds
-Causes shitstorms everytime someone is too late to the hunt or someone pulls too early - extremely annoying seeing all that monkeys throwing insults at each other in the chatlog
-Not playable on ps3 or weak PCs
-Is the only way to upgrade your gear to 110

Obviously, OP was being sarcastic. But yeah, hunts are the worst thing they ever added to this game. Or as AVGN would say - "WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING?"

The HUNT has to be one of the absolute worst addition to this game... it's beyond dumb. I mean, if you are going to make the daily hunt for more casual corners, then for the love of god, make those damn FATE spawned every 10 minutes.... Every FATE should be on 5-10 mnts timer, really no reasons for making people wait forever. It's log and play, so if you aim for faster pace game then stand by your words. Or blatantly copy Voidwatch from FFXI, it works well over there and it's your own damn game, own it, use it, make it work.

And please add daily dungeon and trials as part of your Hunt, the Duty Finder is pretty dead as doornails. If you know what's good for this game, add more incentives for people to do Cape Westwind and the other main missions mode. And I mean it by MORE incentives. Even if it is 10 allied seals for doing any one of those daily. If your goal is to attract new subscriber, then make sure those players can complete main mission. STOP putting everything on The HUNT and focus on other contents that are DEAD because of the hunt.

    Hunt fer lief....

Waiting for SE to add hunts in real life....!
You know, so we can earn Oils and oil up our RL friends!
And then, we can take the sands and make a beach!
Then lay on the beach, and get good suntans cause we are nicely oiled.

I think this is a good plan. You might think that SE can't add hunts in real life, but I believe people that say that are just thinking too small.
