Strange problem. Possible Graphic Driver crashes?

    Hello!

Long story short, I decided to return to FFXIV after several months away. I inherited my father's computer after he passed away, and I toyed around, trying out different games, and finally said, what the heck. I'll go back to Final Fantasy.

My father's computer is pretty much a monster compared to my old computer that I used to play FFXIV on. I figured it would have no problem running the game.

The computer's specs are as follows:

    Falcon Northwest Mach V

    Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i7 CPU X 990 @ 3.47GHz, 3468 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
RAM: (Here's a big kicker, 2 months ago, it read as 24 GB -- For some reason, now it says only 4GB. I will be running memtest tonight, at the suggestion of a friend.)
Graphics Cards : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 (2 of them.)
    Operating System: Windows 7, 64bit

If any other information is needed, and I am given instructions on how to find it, I will do so.

I'm not sure why the system would suddenly not "see" 20GB of RAM?

Go uninstall your whole graphics card then reinstall a old update that worked.

maybe something is wrong with the update you installed recently
