For those of you clearing T9 regularly...

What is the one piece of advice you'd give to a static? Currently my group is stuck in the final phase. We're close (divebombs) but not there yet, and unfortunately we just lost a member. I'm hoping we can clean it up and down him by this weekend, but I'm looking for any protips that might help small transitions, like being positioned correctly for lunar dynamo/thunder, or easing the blow of double meteor streams while dodging DBs.

We run with 1 WAR tank, 5 dps, whm, sch.

Depends on you want to do it.

First fire tether runs out, not too far, then everyone stacks behind Nael and the thunder target goes a little forward. That'll keep them out of range for hitting everyone while not being hit by dynamo. When you get to divebombs, just don't stack at all. It's more of a judgement call from each member not to run too close to each other at that phase.

Fire out, target runs a short distance away from group.
Thunder goes behind Nael, others stack up in front
    Fire in
    Thunder behind Nael
    Spread out
    Fire out
Thunder hits, no one should be close to this person
Bait the novas, wait for the 2nd before running for the beam stack point (if you are close to the stacking point, you need to wait a little more)
    Fire in
    Thunder behind Nael
    Prepare for Dives
Dive 1, spread out for Meteor Stream, stay away from the edges, dive 2 and next streams
Stay away from tank for Dalamud Dive

    repeat until next dives

    Dive 1
    Iron Chariot
    Dive 2
Lunar Dynamo, sprint back to grp if you are the target of 2nd dive

    Repeat first rotation
Repat second rotation, but you'll probably enrage before this finishes.

    Dont give up.
I assume that since you have 5 dps you have no trouble transitioning from heavensfall with 1 ghost.
For thunder/dynamo Nael will jump on the person who ran out with the fire out so dont run too far, and what we do is position thunder behind the boss and rest of the raid in front, you can start to position right after he jumps.
For DBs with double streams just spread around the center when the first DB mark comes up, do it in advance and start pre-healing.

You must already know the exact strat about favors, fires, ice, lunar and stuff since you got there. So my advice to you and your team is to be VERY vocal. Call every shit in advance for everybody to know what is coming and place accordingly. In my static, when practicing T9 before our first kill, team leader would call every fire, dynamo, divebombs, etc... etc.. go there, go center, split up, etc... so everybody would know what to do and at what time. Being vocal helps everybody in the group si if one of you have the ability to do that. This is what will give you the kill.

Don't place the thunder behind the boss after he jumps. Place it in front. You will lose a bunch of DPS by placing the group in front. In addition, placing the thunder in front has more leeway for error for the group.

Helps to know what your problems are, specifically. People derping = need more practice / reinforcement (vocal reminders as in above post). Other stuff is other stuff.

the fire rotation can mess you up even if you execute it perfectly.

this is what happen to mine party when we learning it.

    1st fire tether, run out.
    then thunder
2nd fire tether, stay in (during this fire tether if you are the person who got first fire tether check your debuff, sometime you will still have fire debuff on you, you will get 2nd fire stack and die if you stay in. (the chance not high but it can happen a few time)

As others have said -- CALL OUT EVERYTHING. To not stress a single person out, probably easier to have one person strictly call out fires and reminders of where to run for each divebomb (regardless if someone is or isn't resetting waymarks), and have one person strictly call out thunders. Other than these callouts, though, NO ONE SHOULD BE TALKING OVER VOICECHAT. No extra chatter, no Monday morning quarterbacking if someone's made a mistake, no "oh damn I'm so sorry" -- if it's not a callout for a movement, everyone needs to shut the eff up. If you haven't cleared yet, this goes a very long way to help enforce order to the phase.

We always get a 2nd ghost, but I know that we have the dps to push with one, so we must be doing something really wrong. Right now, we push hard right after 1st heavensfall, kill the ghost, push more on nael, and then the 2nd ghost I use meteor, which just about kills the ghost and pushes nael into the last phase.

But i'm thinking we should push hard, kill first ghost, push and have mnk lb3 to avoid the 2nd ghost. Is this correct?

Didn't know he always jumps to the first fire out, so this helps a ton.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Hoping to down this jerk this week.
