    By your definition of begging, every sports team in existence begs players to join them. That makes absolutely no sense at all. Reality check: the actual meaning of the word begging as defined by the english language isn't your own, twisted and butchered definition of it.

    Exactly. It's like he has no idea how the real world even operates. No sane person would think that a person inviting them to a wedding or asking them to be their best man/maid of honor would be an act of begging.
