Elusive Indigo Herring

I've searched all over the net to find out if these are able to be caught in open waters. I know they are obtainable at Cedarwood but in a school of fish. I want to catch them in mass. Does anyone have any idea where I can fish for them? The only other place I heard of is the Bald Knoll beach but I haven't had any luck fishing them up.

Indigo Herring are only obtainable via school fishing and only currently at Cedarwood. I see you are a R50 fisher so catching these in mass should still be fairly easy. Just do the two school rotation and hit a spearfish node to reset everything, rinse repeat. Put you PIETY at around 70-80 (You can boost it higher with x3 +7 rings and with stat traits from DoW guild marks) and you can pull x5 of these easy (the only fish in game which can be caught in x5 quantities)

Floating Minnows or Spoon Lures in my personal experience are the best of the baits for hooking these guys in often. I have been able to pull in 30 or so at R50 before I need to move onto the next hole.
