Thanks for your reply! So, there is a myriad of ways to go about this. Hopefully Yoshi doesn't break our hearts. I'm going to be so upset if there are plots and they are just GONE...Well, in FFXI it was basically like our inn rooms, except you could decorate it and eventually invite people inside.
Aion's housing system was like the wards in that there were only so many spots available, except on top of being expensive you also had to pay rent to hold onto your plot.
SWTOR just introduced their housing system (finally). Basically it's your own personal instance that you can buy and then spend additional money to unlock different parts of the stronghold. The places are pretty big, which is nice, and you can own multiple houses on different plants. Sadly the layout system as far as placing furniture is a bit restrictive.
Archeage's housing system is kind of a cluster f. Basically there's designated open areas of land that you can place a house in, and people like to place their houses in just the right spot so that there's just enough room in between their house and the next persons that no one can build in between. So technically it's like the wards in that there's only so much space on the map. Also the small houses are just...really small and unappealing.
GW2's housing system... *snerk* No, I'm sorry, I can't. I just can't. Laughing too hard. From disappointment.
