Regardless of the cost of personal housing, anything higher than free and you will see forums posts declaring that SE is locking players out of content.
Once said patch goes live also expect to see people decrying crafters as greedy mustache-twirling robber barons when the price of furniture temporarily goes thru the roof due to demand.

I also fully expect some things to remain FC only and people will throw a fit about that as well because they feel they should get all the benefits of a Free Company w/o having to join one. Just wanted everyone to brace themselves for the flood of Q _Q

Follow-up: It's worse than I even imagined, I'm the only one I know that can even afford it. Also my furniture cash cow is looking a littler leaner than I'd hoped.

So true its not even funny. Its really not.

If SE makes the pricing too cheap, I will start QQing. Actually, I've mostly stopped doing that, SE will likely bend over for these people regardless of what I say anyways.

I am already saving money for personal housing and my retainers have full inventory with housing stuff for (hopefully) my personal house because right after 2.38 I will only gather and craft to sell cheap housing equipment and it's crafting materials for increadibly high prices to special people

I just hope that we will truly get something like small fc houses as our personal houses - fingers crossed.

I bought a furnishing item hoping I could use it when personal housing comes. Then I stopped myself from buying more because I realized that I had not heard anywhere about the furniture/housing supplies/components/decorum being universal.

I'd be fine with Free Companies having benefits if they were actually related to Free Companies.

Agreed. It's when things like leveling or customizing your Grand Company Chocobo is tied to your rank within (as well as the rank of) your Free Company that I get annoyed. It's adding restrictions that make no sense. (If they'd instead had restrictions on it based on your GC rank, that I'd accept. It'd make more sense that way. But it shouldn't be tied to FCs.)

Worst part is, there are "unused" Chocobo Stables and even locations that could be used for Gardening all over Eorzea, but instead this is FC content (FCs with a House, even) because... Having bought a House a FC clearly needs the extra Gil Gardening brings in...?

This is trully what they are though, some items prices are stupidly high for what they are. ( see Glamour prisms for example )
