Cannot Continue Lighting Seasonal Event Quest

Steps:
1.As a GLA, I joined a FATE to kill an Armored Beast (part 2 Lightning quest - Seeking the Scoop). FATE reward gold and receive item Strange Otherworldly Parcel. Went to Dural Tharal in Ul'dah and could not receive quest to hand in item.
2.Went to Petyr Winsome, Limsa Lominsa Lower and receive quest For the Winsome and complete it.
3.Returned to Dural Tharal, picked up quests...icon over his head says green I can turn in, but I am unable to hand over package.
4.Go to Eastern Thanalan and killed Armored Beast a second time. Gold reward but receive message that cannot obtain item.
5.Visit Dural Tharal, but cannot hand in item (options are Discard, Link, Sort). I discard item Strange Otherworldly Parcel.
6.Go to Eastern Thanalan and killed Armored Beast a third time. Gold reward but receive message that cannot obtain item.
7.Change class to BLM, go to Southern Thanalan and killed Armored Beast a fourth time. Gold reward but receive message that cannot obtain item.
8.Delete quest Seeking the Scoop. In Southern Thanalan killed Armored Beast a fifth time. Gold reward but receive message that cannot obtain item.

It appears I broke the quest having completed the FATE and receive the quest hand in before actually getting the quest. Or perhaps it broke because at one time I had two hand in items at the same time. No idea why the problem, but I cannot continue this seasonal timed event because at first I couldn't hand in the item, and now I can't obtain it.

I fixed my problem. I went back to Dural Tharal, picked up the quest. Then traveled to Western La Noscea and complete FATE Tender Buttons, which was the monster I had to defeat for Lightning part 1 event. Interestingly enough, after defeating the monster, I received gold reward status, but no message about any items. Checked my inventory, and strangely enough item Strange Otherworldly Parcel was there. Traveled back to Dural Tharal in Ul'dah - Steps of Nald, and was able to hand in item for Seeking the Scoop quest. Odd...but happy.
