What am i doing wrong in the Ixal quests?

Do you use cross class skills?
Try it if you dont have all DoH at 50...

I use CRP (the only DoH job I have gear for, got it specifically for the Ulli look) and the only cross class skill I use is Steady Hand II.

And to answer your previous statement, you are wrong, all other beast tribes can be done easily by characters of the same level as the quest

Not if your gear is well below your level and you don't know how to play the job, unless you do it in a party and have the other person do it for you.

I have no issue hitting HQ with my mule on that synth, all DoH 50, unmelded gear that's been out since 2.0 (ilvl55 or lower everything)

Grats, too bad you can't do it on a lvl 16 and keep saying the same.

You could invest some time by spirit bonding and Converting to obtain materia. But then again I feel that the point of this thread boiled down to "why is SE introducing quests that I can't blow though regardless of my level... Yes I do see it as a "Reward" because I have earned my due and know how/what to do to make these quests easy. Much like any 110 player running T1-9 and posting comments about how hard it is when the player making those comments is seriously under geared and lacking experience. But I digress. (no I'm not kidding you or trying to troll. I chimed in as I felt these complaints are all unfounded)

I'm not commenting on whether "A High Wind in Ishgard" is broken or not. I'm just going to tell you what you can do to work around it:

At rank 6, the most reputation you can get per day is 207 (3 x 35 + 2 x 29 + 50). It's 1320 rep to rank up. This should take 7 days to finish. If you skip "A High Wind in Ishgard" and take a rank 5 quest instead, then you lose out on 6 rep. Even if you have to skip it EVERY day, you'll still finish in 7 days.

If that quest is so frustrating, just skip it and take a rank 5. It won't make any difference.

imo, I am glad SE made these quests hard for crafters as you climb the ranks... I am a fully melded 3 star crafter and breeze through these. It feels like I am being "rewarded" for my time spent achieving my crafter's level. This Friday I will be riding my new mount!

Sorry for everyone complaining about the difficulty but, really? You all know the solution. Level your crafter... After all, these are crafting related quests.

Bully for you for being fully melded 3star crafter.

But the problem isn't difficulty itself - the problem is the inconsistency with the apparent required levels for the quests themselves and for the actual crafting to be done; as well as the inconsistency of how most of the crafting can be done blindfolded by any lv50 crafter (no need to be fully melded 3star) while some, with no apparent reason for it, are pains in the butt.

Cool story bro, but your reward was hitting 50 on your craft and being able to sell your crafts on the Market Board.

I think they should have made the entire top tier that difficult. If you don't know what you're doing, or don't have decent gear, you shouldn't be able to do these with any kind of ease.

I'm pretty sure the top tier of the other beast quests are near impossible for someone who leveled their DoW/DoM to 50 without learning how to play it and still wearing level 30 gear. The only thing wrong with the quest is that the minimum level should be 40+.

It's clear that this rank is for crafter's with ALL cross abilities and melded gear. You can just get more mats and try again though. If it's that frustrating use the lower ranked quests to gain rep instead.

There are plenty of other quests you can take if this one is to hard for you. I am glad that the VERY END of a long beast tribe quest chain actually has something that provides a small challenge. Its sad that people are so spoiled with easy things in this game that when there is a hint of challenge they come cry on the forums. Smh.
