What am i doing wrong in the Ixal quests?

I wrote this up as a personal reference, but i figured other people might appreciate it.

My setup before I craft: Crafting class is level 50 (to unlock Waste Not II) Culinary is at least level 15 (will be using Hasty Touch in Rank 6 crafts) CP is 352 (later reduced by crafting station debuffs)

If anyone can find an exception where some other combination is superior, be my guest, I would love to hear it. My list was meant to minimize the need for more than 1 level 50 craft.

Yes, there is some RNG involved, occasionally you will see nq results. That said, this has been my fastest, most reliable setup to date.

Regarding High Wind, as people have mentioned earlier be sure to cancel any debuffs you may have from a previous quest before you attempt it. You can do this by right clicking the icon, for those who do not know. The CP reduction does stack and you should be able to use cross-class abilities for this particular quest.

What makes you think those players who have troubles are having both buffs?
My suggestion is to have all DoH at least on level 15 and one at level 40 or you struggle with about 7 - 20% HQ success rato on this quest...

Its really hard even for level 50 crafters. Usually when im doing those wuests there are others about doing it too and you can see that everyones trying and failing and trying and failing...
Ive been lucky and usuallly get good condition procs or a HQ at 20%
I acctually like them cause they make me try different rotations to figure out how to get the most out of my skills. But they are defo not for level 30 crafters

i think some here maybe not noticed it yet.

The Rank 6 Quest (in Coerthas) can give 2 different "Buffs"

#1 Not let you use any other Craft Job Abilitys (same as in Mor Dhona)
#2 Halfs your CP (and maybe other things)

This means, if you do the one that need 1550+ Quality and have both buffs, you only need one of those.

Try to test it.
I as example do only one craft job at a time before getting the next item / Buff.

Thanks for bringing that up - no mean to be harsh here - just to let you know if you go on a few page before if you start reading a thread at the beginning in order to give your point of view, you will see some talking about debuffs and removing them (hint: page 1, 2, 3)

And yes you can take the debuff out and have a clear state in between all your craft attempts. It's already hard as it is, no need to make it harder

if you cant handle the rank 5 or 6 quests then dont do them, you can hit rank 7 by doing the others

This is what I am doing. I have all crafters to level 30. I"ve level up my CUL to 37 and now I'm pushing my CRP to 50 (41? right now). I made it to the the rank 6 level and started doing these quests. I made sure to not have 2 dubuffs on at the same time. I think the one turn in (it took me 8 attempts before I got my two HQ results). The other one took me 5 attempts before I got my one HQ result. I think the quest reward covered the crystals that I had used up in my attempts, but still I decided that I'll just do the 3 level 5 quests, 2 level 4 quests and 1 (Vender) quest to level up to level 7.

I recognize that my gear is probably what is holding me back, all of it is level 30, so I'm now well above that. But yeah I laugh almost every time I see "You must be a lvl 15 DOH class" to complete this quest blurb, I just laugh.

The rotation suggestions are great...for people with multiple crafts leveled. Why should I be expected to 50 at least one craft and sub the rest to 15+ for a synth listed as Level 16 that is supposedly synced to my level? Someone on the dev team royally screwed this up. I have no problem with failed touch and synth actions causing no HQs or failed synths, but when you can use as perfect a rotation as your crafting class is capable of with the pittance of CP the quest allows you and still not even have a 20% HQ shot unless you get a lucky Excellent proc that is COMPLETE bullshit. I've been at this shit an hour...it's at the point where I may need to go to bed and lose out on today's full reputation credit because someone at SE is an idiot.

I attempted a rank 6 quest once and immediately gave up. I've decided the best course of action for me is just continue with the level 4 and 5 quests plus the delivery. It's only been a few days and I'm half way to 7 so, yay! Instead of missing out entirely why not just take that route? I mean yeah, it's kind of dumb that the quest itself suggests you be a level 16 crafter and my 50 can't even do it but still.. Something's gotta be better than nothing.

Yeah, until they even care to acknowledge this for those who can't do it it's better to lose those extra 6 points and take 2 rank 6 and 3 rank 5 quests instead, whenever this one pops up.

@Lithera Be careful, they give 10 days bans for using that word after "COMPLETE", they get a bit too sensitive if you're not white-knighting them.
