Did the Ixali Quests Pique Your Interest In DoH/DoL?

I ask this because Yoshi said part of the reason they made these quests different was to give players who haven't tried those classes yet a reason to try them.

I do see loads of people new to crafting or gathering doing it. But is that just because you have to, to finish the quests? Or do you actually enjoy crafting/gathering now?

I enjoyed it before the quests were available, but it's giving me a chance to level up my next crafter in the process.

There is also speculation that it might be necessary for when the expansion comes out. ie. building an airship that is capable of taking you to a new area...

I maxed out the DoH classes before the Ixal quests, but I do hope more quests like these come around if and when the level caps are raised.

I suppose in a way it did for me. A few months back I grinded a goldsmith to level 23 in a couple of hours. The next day I tried to continue but was left just wanting to kill something in a blood thursty blackmage sort of way. I never went back to it until this quest came a long. I'll admit I did one quest and decided that grinding the tribe wasn't for me, but it did make me try crafting again and now I've gotten my goldsmith to 44 through leves and will be aiming for 50 end of the week.

You used leves to get to 44 GSM wherein you need to supply your own materials vs. the Ixali quests that provide free mats for you and offer a huge crafting xp payout? You realise it would have been faster and less grindy to do the Ixali quests right?

I'm pretty sure one of the purposes of this tribe release was to give crafters a bit of an xp boost. It's certainly made leveling all my remaining crafts painless.

My interest was already Piqued. I had all the DoH/DoL classes to level 30. This new Beast tribe came at just the perfect time for me. I had just finished getting max rep in the other beast tribe quests, so this was a no brainer for me.

So far it's allowed me to get my CUL to 37, and now I'm going to see how far it will get my LTW. Will I get to 50 before I max my rep or not? I'm thinking not, but you never know.

I've liked the whole scenario so far, more ways to level, building an airship is neat, and it has been bit of a learning experience. Since I don't have epicly geared (nor level 50, I'm DoH/DoL level 20-30 minus my Fisher) crafters, and because of the buff that caps CP, for the higher tier crafts you have to to employ specific strategies or you just wont HQ / finish the item.

I have had to naturally pick up new strategies to complete the crafts, strategies I can use in normal crafting by being forced to HQ or go home during the quests (can't check right now but I think I'm rank 5, so I'm doing the level "10-12" airship parts). I suppose I could have just looked online how to HQ easily, but it was nice to learn naturally.

I enjoyed gathering and a bit. of crafting before the Ixali quest, so I just see them as a really fast levelup.
That doesn't mean I don't like the beast tribe, I like doing These quest, as I've already reached max reputation with the others, so I HAD to do these, too xD

I have enjoyed it so far, and love the story line, though the dailies themself since hitting the rank 5 MD ones have become annoying, purely due to being use to a set rotation but now without cross class skills..
But yes I do believe it is a step in the right direction, I would personally love if they added a dedicated gathering one, say goblin
Just to even out the playing field
