Do you need a break from the stressful aspects of the game and just want to blow off some steam and have fun? This is a shout out to anyone who is playing the game that would like to come over to Jenova server for a party details here. This is for high level and low level characters. This is for people who are serious about the game and people who just like to have fun. If you have a character on Jenova then cool beans, if not and you want to come anyways then there is still time to make one and come on over.

You do not have to join our FC! We are not recruiting with this. We are inviting all of you who can make it. I know this is general discussion, please don't move this thread too. There is already a thread in the specific world forum and it is what the link is in this text. This thread is here so anyone who wants to have a bit of fun in FFXIV with a bunch of other players can be invited too.

The party will be this Friday September 5th, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. EST

I want to be able to do turn 5 and fail multiple times in one run. Not get kicked by a person who says "Go watch a ****ing video before coming in here, noob." I am well aware of how many phases and how complex Twintania can get, but that doesn't mean you can incur a vote kick :V (Which by the way, can be banned if abused, and there's a new report option just for it now.)

But this doesn't mean you can be overly happy/friendly. Some hardcore FCs will present themselves as "Family Friendly" or "Friendly", etc. Even making their shout adverts look such with emoji / emotes / ascii art / etc. This usually is in attempt to coerce players from smaller FCs that are good at breeding players who can deal with everything. I've had numerous players go from my current FC to another bigger FC that promotes that way, over the course of a few months. (And each time, it was the same FC, so it may have been targeted.)

If you see people using custom colored text, it's also usually a sure sign to potentially avoid them, for fear of them using third-party applications to their advantage. (IE: Hunts, etc.)

I know a lot (I mean it, A LOT) of people will think I'm negative because of this, I'm not trying to be, nor am I.

I am so in agreement with coldreactive...maybe a FC should be build specifically for this purpose, that way all those that do not want to watch a dam video, like me, is annoying as hell and doesnt help in most cases at all, could just meet otherse like minded and go into anything blind and learn from scratch with all it involves....that could be an idea..I am tired of seeing people kicked becasue they arent good enough or because they didnt know or didnt watch a video.

As for OP....I am not sure what you want to achieve ? attract people into your FC? or to the server??? either ways intend is good but to make such a move the guy must be really desperate....in my opinion

We are throwing a party. If you come or not is up to you. It's a PARTY. No ulterior motive. Just people wanting to have fun. What do I want to achieve? I am inviting everyone who wants to come to a party and for people to have fun. Is it a crime to have fun or want to share that for one day? This is kinda what I'm talking about with the negativity. Everyone in the game is usually assuming the worst when I am trying to be as plain and clear as possible. IT IS A PARTY

It's a party to have fun. That's it. We wanted to throw a party and we are and everyone who wants to be there is invited. No strings attached.

no it is not but to join *your* party people need to move from one place to another...or is there now a possibility for a Siren to join a Chaos party other then land into one via DF? see my point ?

your idea is good but cant apply cross servers...the only way is to move and that has a cost and doing that just for a party, one must be extremely desperate, thus my comment.

You might remember the lalafell march Denmo hosted a few times right? If not then I can see where there might be some issue. There were people who didn't have characters who wanted to come and made a new one to show up anyways. It only happened a few times and on different servers each time but people didn't seem to mind. This isn't going to be on such a grand scale but the concept is there. To have fun with people doing something together for no other purpose than to have a good time.

If you only have the standard account with the one character then I'm sorry but please don't move for a party. That isn't what we want and I apologize that you won't be able to go under those circumstances. I kinda see now though why it seems like a desperate recruitment which is a bit annoying because that isn't what we are trying to do. I'm not trying to change your opinion Mei. I am posting this so other people who might be reading can understand (hopefully) what we are trying to do here.

Or just, y'know, make a new character on that server temporarily? Even Entry accounts can have 8 characters, so long as they're all on different servers.

I would come join you, but the reality is I'm pretty sure I'll be falling asleep right around the proposed time. That said, have fun OP and anyone else that goes.

How ironic that somebody like you came in and started posting in a thread titled "Are you tired of the negativity."

OP is attempting to host a player-made event. There are many people that wish that more people would host these kinds of events, and some that are willing to take some time to create a new character just to attend it. From what I gather, it's just a social event. Take a look around the forums to see how many people complain that this game isn't social enough. You also make it sound like creating a character is some mind-blowingly tedious task. If people want to attend a social event like this, I assure you that creating a new character won't kill them. The party is hosted in The Goblet, which is a level 5 quest to get to. Not that hard.

For the love of god people, please don't discourage anyone from hosting player-made events. They are trying to make the game more social, and for many, more fun.
