Pro Tip: When a Terms of Service says "Commercial Advertising" It means advertising for real money.

Legally it has to specifically state that then. This is the reason why I included the definition of "commercial use." If it said "real world commercial use," then that would be different.

Let me also make it clear that I am not implying anything is "right" or "wrong" I am simply stating what is. By using the party finder or even the many forms of chat to advertise a service (even if it only exists inside the game) you are opening yourself up to trolls with knowledge of the ToS.

And yet your knowledge of the ToS is minuscule at best. Commercial is a term used in Terms of Service Agreements to dictate the real world uses. Like Commercial Car Dealerships.

A simple definition of Commercial is:
(of goods, chemicals, etc) of unrefined quality or presentation and produced in bulk for use in industry.

Also.. you failed to read the entire list in Section 2 which details other commercial real life uses that are illegal to use the game for.

2. LICENSE LIMITATIONS

Now that is a valid counter-argument. You have pointed out that while the ToS does indeed say that using the party finder for advertising crafting services is illegal, it also at the same time says it is.

I think we can both agree that the ToS needs to have specifics added to them so that single sub-sections are not so misleading. Broad terms and legal documents don't mix.

Charge a lot. What bugs me about people having you craft the item from mats is that the tips they pay you don't take into account the large amount of time you spent leveling all your crafts, getting your artisan tools, etc. I know they would just go to some other crafter to have it made if you won't do it, but meh, still bugs me >_>.

Melds = free, yes I got the class to 50 but I'm not really doing anything other than standing there while they request meld, I make sure they know melds are free when they ask for meld, though I only do it if I'm not busy.

Crafts = if all mats are given then it's free, tips are welcome but not required, though if it's a large batch I do expect a tip.
If no mats are given then I charge for mats (based on NPC price or MB pice + discount, I know mb prices are a bit... overpriced) and while I don't ask for tip directly, I do tell them the price along with "it doesn't include tip" to hint them.
