    So these Hunts...

    Hello

Okay I'm a little confused on these hunts everybody has been doing...I get the mark bills every day from my GC and have been doing those. Most of them have been easy and alot of the marks are in fates and some of those aren't.

Are there other ones separate from the GC ones? If so how do I get the mark bill for those?

    Thanks

You just go kill the A or S Rank mobs, this was in the patch notes that you can kill the hunt mobs themselves without a bill to get seals. Though they changed Bs.

The mark bills reward you for regular monsters, FATE bosses, and a weekly B-rank.

A-ranks and S-ranks give Allied Seals, and tomes of mythology and soldiery just for killing them, and have a low chance of giving you a blood-spattered mark log when you get full credit for a kill.
At full credit, A-ranks give 20 AS, 80 myth, 20 sol.
At full credit, S-ranks give 50 AS, 200 myth, 40 sol.

So hunt parties just go around searching for A's and S's that are due to pop soon. Your server probably has a hunt tracker you can follow.

    Daily Bill
    ----------
3x normal mobs (4 seals each)
2x uncommon fate (10 seals each)
    (Total = 32 seals)

    Elite / Notorious Monsters (NM)
    ------------------------------------
There is just one of each rank monster per zone.
The positions they appear in are randomised.
Rank A and S are not always available due to long respawn timers, but the rewards they give can be farmed continuously throughout the week with no limit and no hunt order required.

    Rank B
    respawn: near instant
seals: 50 (once per week only, with GC weekly bill)

    Rank A
    respawn: 3.5 - 4.5 hours
    seals: 20

    Rank S
respawn: 3+ days if requirements are met, hints given by local npcs
    seals: 50

Beside your GC bills there are S and A rang monsters to hunt:

A rang: About ~4 hours real time after they were killed their respawn window opens again, once the window is open they *can* spawn (sometimes they spawn within minutes, sometimes it needs an hour)
S rang: Are similar to A rangs but with greater respawn times (some days) and need special conditions to spawn them (like it has to be the right moon phase, someone needs to die, use a pet etc...)

You can check the respawn windows here (for example): http://ffxivhunt.com/

If you want to know if it's worth it: yes
1 evening hunting (about 1.5 to 2 hours) nets somewhere around 200 seals, 200 soldiery tomes (mostly 1:1) and 800 mythology tomes (just checked Shiva and there will be 9 windows from 1 to 3 hours from now, give and take, add an S and there ya go )

Okay so I tried some of these. Apparently either theres just way too many people or I'm not doing enough damage because I'm only getting 2 Allied Seals, 8 myths and 2 soldiery. Yes I'm probably not geared the best and I suppose that has alot to do with it...

    Thanks for the info though

Best thing to do is being in a Full Party.
Being a DPS with all those people appearing for A and S-Ranks, you're always getting the lowest reward possible when you're alone, even if you're geared properly.
Only exception for getting more or full credit for those Ranks is, when you somehow manage to deplete 5-10% of their health bars alone (which isn't that likely, hence a full party or an almost full party is best when paticipating in hunts).

Tanks and Healers have a easier time to get more credit on these Ranks, even if they're alone (but depending on the amount of people that's almost impossible as well).
