Hey guys,
I might have missed this or it has dropped off the face of the forums, but I was wondering if we ever got anywhere with changing the Magitek Mount theme to Terra's Theme as was played during the trailer in which Square showed it off?

They said they would add it if they saw enough support for the idea. Despite a massive thread we've still heard nothing new.
Main excuse I remember when the trailer for magitek came out in the beta was the theme is too slow for a mount theme. Works when you are at walking speed, but makes no sense at full speed.
They gave us a no:
Greetings,
I know that this has been a very long and ongoing request to add. We checked in with the Lore team about the possibility of adding Terra’s theme as the background music for the Magitek armour mount, but as this is a suit of FFXIV-specific Magitek armor, they do not have any plans to use that song.
I'm guessing the real reason is that "Terra's Theme" was composed by Nobuo Uematsu. The legendary Final Fantasy composer is no longer an employee of Square Enix, and I'm pretty sure he retained the rights to all of his compositions when he left. This makes it a legal/monetary issue that square might not see worth pursuing just for some fan service.
Uhh, I don't think that is how it works. The music is definitely the property of Square, and it probably said so in Nobuo's contract. No company would give their employees exclusive rights to the assets. If that was the case, the music from 1.0 wouldn't have been put in 2.0 since it's also composed by him.I'm guessing the real reason is that "Terra's Theme" was composed by Nobuo Uematsu.
