Still learning how to play Pugilist well, are there any specific job abilities that would be useful from other job classes?

Basically starting out you'll want to get a few of those lower abilities quickly (raging strike, cure, invigorate, still precision maybe), and if you plan on tanking you'll likely want to get marauder to 48 next after pug. I might be missing a few others of note, I copied this from my LS forum and had to change formatting.

- For healing you need at least Cure 2 and Sacrifice 2
- For attack buffs you need at least Ferocity, Raging Strike and Hawk's eye (or the higher version of them)
- For shield buffs you need Protect, Shell, Shock Spikes, Stoneskin, Defender, Punishing Barbs and maybe Rampart and Sentinel (or the higher versions of them)
- For attacks you will need Skullsander 2 and Heavy Trummel (the lower version of Skullsander is not an option cause its weak).
- For passive traits you will need all the rank 20 ones of every class in the game as well as Will to Power, Will to Power 2, Driven by Faith and Driven by Faith 2.
I dont use other classes abilities beside the ones I mentioned already.

As far as healing goes I would prioritize Sacrifice over Cure. You'll want to get THM up to 50 for MP regen skills as well as Emulate and even Contagion anyway, so getting Sacrifice III is waiting for you up there too.
Cure II is also nice, and easy to get since it's at r20, however generally you only want to use it as a back-up, if even that. With Second Wind II down to 45s cooldown, there's even less reason to keep any Cure spells on bar. Sacrifice is far better for a DoW.
Man, No subjobs my arse.
It's like subjobs on steroids. LEVEL EVERYTHING.
I'm so far behind haha
The above statement is true, unless you want to play a job when they come out, the whole purpose of the game is ability hunt from other classes.
Not sure why people say cure 2 and sacrifice, pug has moves that require mp to use to gain tp, I only use or need to use second wind and blood bath for healing, both are great 45 sec timers and can heal a lot with no mp use.
I don't bother with bloodboth but yes it is a usefull ability.
Cure 2 and Sacrifice 2 work fine for me, my MP are always Fine too, light punch can never deplete my MP.
The problem with Blood Bath is that if you miss with a buffed weapon skill, then basically it gets wasted, because even if you have the TP, the buffs are gone.
Sacrifice heals for a moderate amount, but what makes it so good is the 30 sec regen.
If I remember correctly I could regen around 1400 HP (that's regen alone) with sac3.
Sac2 is no slouch either, and with the increased costs, it's the better choice in most cases.
Cure 2, comes to the rescue if the regen is still going, and second wind is down.
I don't use cure 2 anymore since second wind was reduced to 45secs.
If second wind and bloodbath work for you, that's great, it's really more preference than anything being better than another. If nothing else use them all, have the spells for emergencies only. (they are cheap at 2 set cost anyway)
Think I've missed like 2 buffed up blood baths that had hawkeye as one of the buffs on since I've been playing, and when you do miss with blood bath on you just lose the other buffs, bloodbath stays up after a miss till it hits or expires.
I solo a lot, and a lot of NMs that are soloable too, if I use a cure or a sacrifice on soloing a NM like kokoroon I'm probably going to run out of mp at mid fight and take much longer to kill with less TP generation.
You can get an easy 1k + hp (at higher lvls) when farming or fighting mobs for solo SP with a buffed up bloodbath every 45 seconds.
