Why do you play?

I been lurking the forums recently and I see a lot of the same people constantly crying about every little thing. So honestly why do you play this game when you are upset with everything? This is not WoW or FFXI so stop trying to make it into them and let the game grow into XIV. Don't like it then don't play simple as that.

So again Why do you play if you hate everything about the game?

The only reason people play this game is so they can have a massive head start to rule the economy during the influx of new players upon PS3 launch.

This, and I made friends with a lot of people since beta so its fun to chat and do stuff with them.

Because I have sensitive dopamine receptors, and I've played MMOs for so long they need that fix. I'm addicted basically.

I play because I enjoy helping out the people I have met in game. I also like the fact that the game has no subscription fee.

True. I hope the game is worth it to me to pay for it by the time they start charging, I have enough crysta purchased to pay for 2 months worth on 2 accounts so I guess once they start charging the meter is running for them as far as im concerned : P

I play to enjoy all that Mithras have to offer.

This is the only MMO to promise support for serious group XP leveling (rather than generic quest grinding), a multi/open job system per character, and international servers. I also like the art direction, and I like the combat (encounter design/and ability pace) better than that found in newer MMO's.

On top of that I enjoy Selbina's community quite a bit. The majority of modern MMO's have lost their appeal to me, if I wasn't play XIV I'd likely be doing something more productive with that time not playing another game.
