Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has stopped working

For the past few days, my game has been consistently crashing, displaying the message "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has stopped working". I'm at my wits end on trying to fix this problem and I seriously need help. The following lists are the specs of my computer and the fixes I've tried to use based on my own knowledge and Squares suggestions...


With the knowledge that ARR is an extremely well optimized game, these are my specs:

1) Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz
2) 6GB DDR2 SD RAM
3) Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti
4) Windows 7 Ultimate

And the following are what I've tried:

1) Restarting my computer
2) Restarting my game
3) Re-installing the game
4) Re-installing the graphics drivers
5) Rebooting my OS
6) Resetting my net
7) Using a direct hard line to the modem instead of connecting to the router.
8) Rolling back my graphics drivers to an older driver

Only option 8 has worked for me so far. However upon getting my Windows updates after using option 5, the error once again reared its ugly head. I'm convinced now that the error has to do with one of the 108 updates I downloaded rather than any hardware failure. Can anyone help me to pinpoint which one could be the issue?

They dropped the resolution of alot of resources and failed to include mipmaps for many of them to "optimise" performance.

dump files would help to figure it out, its most often some software injecting a badly written DLL into every application.
