Getting Supra tools

It was fine before last major patch when you could get your BiS tool by investing your time and effort in it, also having to min/max your gear. So as a gatherer I could get my tool by gathering.

Since last patch your next tier of tools require Demimateria in great quantities along with Mastercraft one. My personal opinion is that you should not force people to get something that rare also requiring other (very expensive!) job.

And don't you ask me to go and buy that demimateria, cause prices are REALLY high on that and earning enough gil for it is too much for me while I have almost all master crafters and gatherers as since last patch prices dropped significally due to Hunt.

you can obtain mastercraft from the artistan spectacles, so theres no need to destroy a master tool you invested 10's of thousands of gil worth of of materials into.

I can also obtain it from gathering hat but yet again, I have to level desynthesis for it, no other chance. I mean if I would focus only gathering than I would not be able to obtain it other than from market...

My main concern for this is about DoL classes which all do not have a way to obtain this.

Now we all know that to obtain Mastercraft Demimateria you have to level very specific desynthesis classes while many others are left without that ability. And Gatherers are left far behind on that. While we all know that any master crafter is forced to have all crafting professions capped, which is kinda acceptable, but forcing gatherers into crafting is another story.

I have all my crafters on 3-star level, using the iLevel 70 tool and overmelding. Unless they implement new receipies where you actually need the iLevel 75 tools for, I do not see any sense in trying to push them. They over did it again with those tools. For a minor update you have to have at least two DOL levelled up completely in Desynthesis which means you need tons of 2.0 crafting mats (hardened sap, Coke etc.) for iLevel 70 and lots of Myth tomes and rare mats for ilevel 90 crafts.

And still face RNG where progress is not up to you but to the RNG god. There is a chance to fail and even if you succeed, there is only a low chance of getting the Demimateria you need. Too much RNG for me, too costy, too time expensive. A crafter should get his tools with CRAFTING like they did it with the iLevel 70 tools but not by having to start from scratch with Desynthesis. I either wait till they introduce Level 80 tools or wait till enough people have levelled their crafters in Desynthesis and prices start dropping.

Right now, without looking into Desynthesis on my own, I would have to pay about 60-70 millions to buy all the Demimateria and Mastercraft Materia I need to get all my crafters the iLevel 75 tool. That's still pretty ridiculous and it's no wonder people take the shortcut and buy GIL from RMT.

ilvl 70 mats will be worthless pretty soon, when every random player can obtain 12 per day just by doing his daylies

if the mats are worthless the fc III materia will become worthless very soon too, or atleast go down to 100k or less

I was under the impression we would be capped at 6 philo items per day (3 ixali oaknots). Where are you getting this 6 number from? I'm assuming its due to having 6 daily allowances but we are only permitted with 3 for the specific quests that drop Oaknots.

Perhaps you meant that once reaching rank 7 you would be allotted 6 allowances for the Oaknot quests?
