I'm not personally against it; after all, the NPCs I walk by sometimes have some very funny things to say in their little bubbles. However, the logistics of it when PCs that move around and jump and emote and get into combat, sometimes all at the same time, are quite a bit more wonky, just looking at the way that they've been implemented for enemies in combat. I don't think it would actually work with players as it's already borderline impossible to read a lot of what those enemies are saying even while standing in place doing their opening flourishes in the moments before they attack, and it frustrates me constantly that some enemy text is copied to the chat log but most isn't. So they'll first need to fix that issue with the bobbing bubbles before they can let us players have them.
