I agree with the OP. Me and the OP are "we".

Well 'we' (the larger community) don't. But that's not reflected in the OP anywhere. Seems a bit dishonest to imply the community as a whole is in favour of it, where the only available evidence is that more people are not in favour of it.

They can just not give the option to ps3 players at all like they did with the merged inventory.

I don't know, people seem to love merged inventory so SE doesn't agree with you there and I'm glad they don't.

Yeah, so in the argument of what is/isn't worth it, this is more the fact SE did nothing to make it obvious outside of the update notes.
