There should be no way to speedrun daily storyline dungeon roulettes

I perfectly know why people are speedrunning as I said in my initial post " I understand they do that for efficiency". I spent eight years on my previous MMOand I know what it is to speedrun an instance you have played many times, thank you for your explaination monochromicorn. My point is that they prevent the dungeon to be played normally at all, while the roulette for STORYLINE DUNGEONS rewards are supposed to incite advanced player to run STORYLINE DUNGEONS again, with new players.

I already accepted the fact that current rewards might not be worth a full run and that it would thus be unfair to advanced player to prevent speedrun while keeping the rewards as it is, but this doesn't justify a ruined gameplay for new players.

so, the only real solution is to get rid of the roulette. if getting experienced players in story dungeons over and over, to the point where nobody is playing it the way it was made to be played, we would have to get rid of the thing allowing them to queue for those story dungeons(daily roulette, in this instance).

and, honestly, if you can get people in your fc to join you and help you out, you have a problem. my fc helped out a new lv 50 in more ways than one. i made his relic base and melded the materia, so he could have a better weapon, we ran castrum meridianum, cape westwind, and praetorium. the only thing that came from DF was a fresh 50 OT in cape westwind, because my tank buddy wasnt on yet. get a better FC if they wont help you.

Not that I agree with this idea but an easy fix would to not let people engage bosses while someone is watching a cutscene. If there is new peeps running a dungeon i usually wait, bit if I'm not a tank it's kinda hard to get other people to wait as well.

Not allowing the boss to be engaged while waiting on cut scenes could leave a nice door for trolls to do why they do though and just go afk during cs. Especially the ones with click to advance text boxes in them.

You're asking 7 other people to wait for you to watch something they have already scene multiple times. You're also asking those 7 people to slow down when the off chance they haven't had a new person in run in about a week. If your FC won't do it switch FC's if you don't have friends then create a party finder and shout. It's how a lot of people get the clears they are looking for.

Personally for me I don't mind waiting, but I am just one person. It is a game it should be fun. So if you get in a good group sometimes if you say you are new they will slow down. (sadly not everybody does)

SE wants to help new player to get party quicker by put putting it in rouletter,
the reward encourage advance player to help out new player.

But look like it still not enough.

There's already been a hundred threads about this. Both sides of the coin are right and wrong.

Why should 7 players wait on you? They have probably been here more times than you dread to think and SE wanted experienced players in DF for this so here you go.

On the other hand; why should they skip cutscenes for others, it ruins immersion, watching in the inn later isn't as fun and your new here and wish to take it slow.

This could go on and on like a tennis match but this is a player created problem and nothing something SE can fix with a magic wand.

If only "new" players knew the joy of running this back in 2.0 where you would hit it 6-10x a day because it was the fastest way to obtain myth for darklight… (cm/prae or a good group for ak when it was hard)
Then they would understand why we want to speed run it for that 1x daily quest
Sick of the dungeon so watch your cs's first time thro to get your immersion into the story while the rest of us fight the boss.
2nd time thro skip them and help out with the fights

That's kind of stupid. Why should he not be involved in the boss fights just because people don't want to wait? It seems unfair that the person who is new and playing the story dungeons for the story should have to suffer instead of the people who have already been through the dungeon and are only doing it for a (very) selfish goal. It seems completely backward that new players should speed up their play rather than the more experienced players to slow down.

You're new. I don't believe you'll feel this way in a month. You'll be skipping those cutscenes and pressing on like everyone else. I'm sorry you can't find a group to help you through slow enough to watch the cutscenes and explore the area, and I truly hope you find them, but if you don't want to be patient and use PF or ask your FC mates, or even join a new one, than beggars can't be choosers. If I'm using my daily Roulette, I'm doing it for myth and to get you a clear. This is how it works. The alternatives are there, whether you like them or not. And if advanced players were forced to sit and watch cutscenes and wait idly by, than we wouldn't go in there, and then you'd be waiting forever...

First run : Get in. Say "Hi I'm new to this." Watch cutscenes.
Second run : Get in. Say "Hi, I'm new to this. Learn the fights. Expect anyone that says they are new to this to watch cutscenes. Maybe rewatch a few yourself.
Third run : Get in. Speedrun.
Fourth Run : Get in. Speedrun, Explain things to newer folks.
Fifth run: Get in. Speedrun, Explain things in a simple way to newer folks.
Sixth run: Get in. Speedrun, Stop caring if anyone is new.
Seventh run : Get in. Speedrun, Stop reading chat...

Some folks may take a few more runs to get through these
