    others have mentioned it, but i'll say it again here. AoE stoneskin, even if it is out of combat only. Let me just buff the group quickly before a boss fight instead of single target :/

    maybe a new protect --> protega that adds 5% max HP?

    Mainly though, I would like to just see more interesting traits or cool down abilities. Add a trait for Medica2 to apply a 5% stoneskin

    stoneskin has 30min duration, which is why every (good) whitemage applies it to the whole group at the start of an instance and keeps it up as good as possible since it helps very much to prevent some random dmg to your group so you dont have to heal them on every single mistake one person makes. it also kind of increases max-hp permanent by 18% which helps migrating strong attacks.
    thats why we keep this skill up as good as possible on the whole group, BUT with 3s casttime it takes forever to buff your party at key points (begin of instance, before/after bosses, ...), especially in an full party. and please tell me which random group waits that ~30 sec it takes to apply stoneskin to all before running streight at the boss.. right, nobody!
    even the developers already gave in and said there will be some kind of aoe version, but most likely only outfight

    It lasts 30 minutes, or until you take a few hundred damage. Casting it mid-fight has the same effect as Galvanize (actually less so, since 18% of most people's HP is still less than what a well-geared Succor can do even without a crit), because any time you'd want the AOE, it's likely to be lost quickly to group-wide damage.

    To be fair, Stoneskin from WHM will exceed Succor's galvanize effect. A 5100 HP target will receive 918 bonus HP, which exceeds even a crit Succor outside of situations where healing is buffed.

    In any case, WHMs aren't asking for AoE Stoneskin for this reason; it's more because it's tedious to apply it one-by-one to each party member at the start of a fight.

    Reading this thread answered a question I had myself about the new healer in the expansion.

    I was thinking that with how most endgame fights have mechanics based on damage mitigations (Nael Flare, T8 allagan field, t10 Prey,),

    How would Squex make a third healer interesting enough to take it insitead of say a whm or a sch?

    One mechanic suggested in this thread made me think of an option: an healer whose main role is to increase overall raid hps with an added regen effect. Or a single hit mitigation spell. (doesnt absorb damage in the way succor does, but absorb the next hit received)

    A Battle Chemist might be suitable for those kind of skills.

    What could make a chemist interesting is also having all instant cast spells (like being a skill based class instead of caster while still being based on mind).

    I just hope they wont make a different healing set only for chemist.

    important is the "that does not exceed your own max HP" part, so it can not stop onehit skills since it does not work for dmg that is above the casters HP which will (one)hit the group anyway even within the shield
    a bit like succor shield but with high cd and mp cost as well as low range
    could be quite useful in critical situations when you know an aoe is coming (or even several quick after another). also for easier trash mob handling

    Was saving these for mage tank idea i was building but saw this thread thought a few would work here with tweaks.

    SCH
    Prosperity: A slightly stronger AoE heal but does not galvanize instead has the following added effects
    --Temper: Doubles the effectiveness of active positive status effects bestowed by caster (e.g. galvanize shield, stoneskin...etc) of affected party member, duration extension/reset (or +% chance of duration extension/reset).
    Boon: Bane for positive status effects to sum it up.
    Conversion: Converts 50% of 100% of targets remaining MP into TP (i.e. drains all MP and replenishes half that amount as TP)

    Third fairy(possibly broken/op so don't take it too seriously)

    : 200 potency heal with equivalent shield stack able with aldo/succor galvanize (give this to Eos, this one can have The basic Embrace)
    ? : ?
    Fey Link : Fairy receives 20% of damage received by target party member instead
    Growth : Temporarily doubles effectiveness of fairy abilities

    WHM
    Lifeward: if target party member's hp falls below x% ward activates instantly restoring 100%hp (or %hp that doesn't make it OP)
    Wellspring: % of incoming damage dealt to mana instead
    Reflect: reflects 1 instance of all magic damage back to source
    Bless: Neutralizes and renders target immune to all negative status effects for a duration
    Crown of Thorns: All spells can be cast without the use of MP, MP cost is deducted from HP instead and user receives reduced healing.

    Additonals spells and abilities i'd like to see but fall into Blue Mage territory not healer territory but would work as cross class-ables

    HP/MP switch - self explanatory

    Overdrive(stance) - increases spell potency, drains mp while active (trait: further increases spell potency and increase mp cost)
    Restore: x second buff that when it expires returns HP/MP/TP values to what they were when buff was applied

    How about a "Consecrate" type spell that creates a patch of ground with HoT? Not sure whether that's better suited for WHM or SCH, tbh...
