Put a tax on sale prices (merchant-side) and based off the guilds present in that town, Example: Weavers guild in Uldah results into no o low tax for weavers merchants in the ward, while an armorer wich has the guild in Limsa will see it's sales tax present or raised. this way you get an even distribution of people in every town and incentivates people to move to other towns to buy/sell stuff, while at the same time offest a little with the undercutting due to people potentially losing gil if they lower the prices too much. Tax rates can also vary based on the items availability putting some sort of "control" over undercutting prices.

The "point" he's making is that by and large, everyone does business in Ul'dah. I don't know how it is on Besaid, but on Trabia this is absolutely the case. Limsa and Gridania have roughly 0-20 people running around in them at most times of the day.

Most people in Ul'dah = most retainers in Ul'dah = highest chance to make money is in Ul'dah. That's why everyone puts or wants to put their retainer there. Not saying it's right, but it's how it is.

There is also the compotition, while there are more people in uldah to sell to there is also more comp, because of this if you are selling a popular item your whole game life will be at the wards undercutting just to sell somthing.

Whereas in LL and grid there is less comp, which allows you to put prices up, and they will sell for people that dont want to use anima to go to uldah.

Also why is everyone hanging in uldah still, there is nothing to do there now spread your wings and stop being xenophobic, there is more to the world than uldah.

There really is no reason to pack into Ul'dah like sardines in a tin can, especially now with the changes to obtaining guildmarks, how guildleves award sp, and the introduction of companies. People are actually using Limsa and Gridania again.

I've noted more activity in the other cities on my server as well. In relation to the slight population shift, I've noticed the wards in the other two cities also pick up slightly. I myself have been avoiding Uldah well before 1.18. I prefer the other cities and surrounding areas, mostly for asthetic reasons.

That is not to say that Uldah isn't still the Grand Central of Eorzea here, but I think as the devs continue to add unique benefits to each city, you will see people spread out more over time.

Just an FYI i have access to however many accounts a person can have after buying 2 CEs so if I were to get banned for posting 1 thread talking about another game, dont worry I will be back. I play FFXIV and I will continue to be on this forum until until I quit.

Yes, the wards are segregated for a reason, but sadly, the player base doesn't pay attention to that. If the CON guild is in Gridania, why are all the retainers selling CON weapons stationed in Ul'dah? People crowd Ul'dah to the point that if you are anywhere else in the game, you can't find any items. The markets in Gridania and Limsa Lominsa are practically empty (I have both of my retainers in a single ward in Gridania, and there are only 5 retainers in the ward total, yet the same ward in Ul'dah is so crowded you can't even move. With the Item Search feature, it doesn't matter what ward you're in; it's just like going to Wal-Mart, you can find everything, but it may not be in the right part of the store.

With guild leve bonuses and the stupid amount of sp you get off quests (got 19,000 off one) you can hit 20 in a few hours pretty dam fast in my opinion heck even a casual can do this

I'd like to know what damn quest you was doing, more like 1000sp and a jar of dirt.
