Bards are OP, end of story. Brd with foe up, 2 casters in party and drg in party buffing bards damage.....and you guys want a buff? T_T

I don't mind the song's the way they are but if I had one suggestion I would modify where the Swiftsong skill can work while you're in battle and while the song is playing you lose TP per sec, how much is debatable but I think it would be beneficial in battles that require a lot of dodging or breaking vines.

i like that idea but stick with the mp drain. give us that and stick the mp and tp regain as one song just increase the drain by a bit.
I would like mp song to be more of a pulse, like casting medica, and just have a long cast time. Healing would be good if it was like the sch bubble with small ticks and you can't move while it's active. Would be good to use for primal roars.


Starting to think the reason our songs aren't that spectacular is because no one can agree on better ones...
Personally I'd like ones that increase skill/spell speed, but that's just a mental holdover from my EQ1 days. Also maybe a an ability that lets us apply the next archer buff we use to the entire party. Give it a substantial cooldown.

Bard songs are super lackluster in many ways...mana drains I can live with while singing, there has to be some kind of give and take on it I get it. But reducing damage? I have played a bard in many games, i've never had a damage penalty for singing/playing song whatever.
In fact in my EQ 1 and 2 days ( I know this isn't eq) I was a melee bard....up in the fight swords in hand slashing and hacking and setting up the monsters for lots of nasty stuff..
I will settle for bards not being bards in this game if we can just have the song effect be more noticeable than a tiny lil icon. I want party members that are affected by song to have like a musical note swirl going around them or something. At least I would feel more like a bard that way...since all I got was a lousy harp that I play for 2 seconds...
Also I don't mind the bard LB I wouldn't mind something else but its fine, but the healing regen song is NEEDED...if the healer goes down and we have plenty of dps and tank still standing and can take the boss down, there has been so many times ive been in this situation where a slow heal over time would be useful...cause guess what many times when we hit LB3 and are finally needing the bard to do it...its a 50/50 at that point when the fight could have been won anyway if the group was still getting a little heal going on (this also works when the healer afk/loss connection/rage quit etc)

Yeah!
A burn isn't much of a burn when the healers run out of MP due to massive heals when we let certain mobs live (T6) to burn the boss. Their loss of MP equals a loss of BRD's damage by using Ballad.
