Having no interest in crafting before, I still have no interest. I will forever remain an Ixali pleb because of this. So no, it did nothing for me, just wasted content.

I haven't touched the Ixal stuff since unlocking it. I'm still working on other beastman dailies.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
I was looking forward to the Ixali beast tribe quests being new and refreshing but it turned out to be the opposite. I've had all gathering and crafting leveled since the beginning of the year and to start these quests with so much running around just to craft the same level 1-3 items day after day is very tedious and boring. I wish this storyline could have focused more on challenging crafters to build the specific items for the airship in a single quest rather than pointless repetitive low level quests. There should have been 30 single quests for example, to lead to the airship rather than repeated low level quests just to go up a rank. I know they go up in levels as the rank (I'm currently rank 5) goes up but for someone who's already maxed in everything it's just fluffing up lack of purposeful content. If it wasn't for the mount and bonus quests for completion of all tribe quests at the end, I more than likely wouldn't be doing them.
Now I'm just hoping the FC airship isn't structured the same way
to answer OP: Yes, I do enjoy these. ^^
My only regret is that these came quite late since my DoH/DoL were all capped, and even with all i70 hat/tools and 3* meld-ready, making these dailies way too easy. lol
To those who still didn't like crafting, beware! You'll be missing the finale beast tribe quest once all regular beast tribe stories completed. XD (not that it's important probably... lol )
No, it's been a good reminder of why I don't have any crafts at 50 yet.
And the effects that reduce your CP or remove cross-class skills take it from tedious to torture.
If this was an attempt to make crafting seem appealing then maybe they should have gone in the other direction and given you more CP or more abilities.
They're okay overall, I guess. The forced use of jank equipment (i.e. the gloves) and locking abilities/capping CP is somewhat annoying, but tolerable and still easily doable.
Most importantly, I'm happy I haven't had to do one single FATE for any of them. Tired of them shoehorning that aspect of the game into EVERYTHING.
The quests got me to dust off my crafters, and it reminded me why I stopped crafting to begin with...it's so expensive. Thank goodness it's so easy to get Gil now, I can actually afford to keep doing it. Protip though for people doing these quests, stick with a single crafting class for them. Every reputation tier requires a higher crafting level to have good odds of success (starting at level 5, Tier 5 requires like level 25 or 30), and some of the quests to unlock the next tier get really annoying otherwise (I'm looking at you, Gerolt).
Don't remind me. I wanted to shove my Thryus Animus up his bum for putting me through hell with that crafting quest. The quests got me to dust off my crafters, and it reminded me why I stopped crafting to begin with...it's so expensive. Well yeah at least the later quests made me try some cross class skills i've never use before lol
I loved gathering early on, and even through most of the process of getting the golden hatchet, I loved Botany.
Towards the end of that grind, I started souring to it. And then fishing was much, much less pleasant because of how ****ing stupid some log entries ended up being.
Crafting... I only like crafting for myself, really. Crafting large numbers of items to sell has never been enjoyable for me, and getting all DoH to 50 started to become a drag too.
Seeing the bollocks I have to go through to 'max' crafting and gathering now, especially since I can't afford materia (and can't stand spiritbinding at all) has killed my enthusiasm further.
The new quests... Have ended up being like all of the other Beast Tribe quests for me. At first, it's kind of fun. But now, I'm completely burned out and annoyed that I have to bother every day. :-\
