    Sub-jobs

I recognized that the game's classes are in need of more obviously. People are looking forward to Ninja, of course; being the first new class in a long time with more to come. However, I personally find the the classes should have more than just you use a job and have some skills you can carry over. What I personally would like to happen is what I saw while playing Bravely Default in which characters are able to use the skills of the class they're currently using as well as using all the skills of another class they learned; not just select skills that classes of the same role can use only. With restrictions like the ones that are currently present, players of the same class almost use the same rotations and strategies which dulls the experience and strategies that could occur with a system like Bravely Default's.

I can't see this being implemented at all. I know that most people use the sames skills, but just adding a lot of cross classes ones wouldn't change a thing, there would be patterns that everyone follows just like now. If the problem is player using the same abilities it would be better to use a system like Wildstar have, but that's a complete different game and can't see it working well with the current system.

After all that wouldn't be a point at having classes at all, it would be better to just have a class that can choose paths and that's it. Also a Tank using Fireball would simply do no damage at all. It's like Final Fantasy 5, you have a lot of classes but after all that, it all comes to learning the skills and using all at the same one, freelancer in this case.

While i'd really like this, i'm afraid this might devolve into what FFXI turned into.

Yes, you have the option to sub anything to your job.

But realistically, if you use anything other than what is deemed "best" you're going to get rediculed.

Just add more skills to the classes but usefull skills so player have to build theyr character with appropriate skill builds. Add quips or gears that improves certain skills effect or dmg so u use a drg with a dragonfiredive build and another Will be a dragoon based on Attack speed.....its just an example.

Give classes more more skills so players must decide a skill to make a build or a good combo rotation...while another one Will have a different one...

+1 on adding more skills to the classes. The FFXIV classes really seem shallow to me. Maybe because I played FFXI. In any case, it would be a great improvement
