As much as I love the rewards, I've never seen them as a selling point to the game,
To me their a nice thank you gift for continued subscribing.
As long as the game stays enjoyable I will subscribe, vet rewards or not
Also the picture your not amused by getting, a lot of have been requesting since it was originally found, myself included.
I quite liked EQ2 vet rewards, especially the exclusive housing , it always felt like something to work towards, but again still happy with the current tiers

But uh, for random free stuff, it's really not bad. I'll gladly take a Gilgamesh minion and a Hildy/Nashu picture frame and place it in my bedroom with pride!

A better question would be what would you expect to get? The rewards that have been available so far have not added any kind of benefit over other players, just a staple saying "I'm paying ahead of time to support the game I love!"

I personally love getting free stuff. Right now it's just sounding like first world MMO problems.

The minion is cool but the picture frame is a joke and a huge disappointment, especially considering the amount of subbed time required. I was already disappointed with the goblin hat but this is much worse. Minions are cool. Mounts are cool. Barding is cool. A picture frame and a goofy helmet that doesn't go with anything is not cool.

sounds to me you are only upset because you don't get something to showoff to other players that makes you feel special.
when we are talking abount free stuff eventually everyone at some point will get.
You have actually earned nothing special. you have not sold your soul to RNJeesus and got yourself Nightmare, or whatever Primal Mount. just a gift.

It's like going to a restaurant, paying for your meal, and the owner coming over and saying "hey, thanks for being such a loyal customer and giving me your business all these months, let me give you a free dessert." I'm not turning down a free dessert. And I'm most certainly not going to complain about what I've been given as a gift.

"What is this, ONE slice of cheesecake!? I have been coming to this restaurant for three months straight now! Do you think I came here because I enjoy the food and atmosphere!? NO! I came here to be rewarded properly for being a loyal customer and you deliver this slap in the face!? HOW DARE YOU! I deserve an entire cheesecake for my patronage!"

What part of that seems unreasonable?
