    Chocobo Quests/Dailies

    So, right now our Chocobo companion is really nothing more than someone to help out when soloing, like when running maps, beastman dailies, leves and sometimes Spiritbonding.

    What if we had more? Maybe daily quests that required the Chocobo, activities we could do (special maps that required the Choco to dig the treasure up), maybe even dungeons/instances that required them.

    Now, I'm not talking about Racing and Breeding, though those can tie-in with this, but more open-world stuff that potentially requires a higher-ranked Chocobo companion to accomplish

    Daily quests to give chocobo xp rewards (so they reach rank 10 and up faster), food, dyable barding, color minions etc.

    Maybe a kind of beast tribe questing but for chocobos by credits on the public stables that are planed next.

    MAYBE bardings that modify some stats for racing (speed, stamina, boost), or for basic mount (chocobo sprint, digging for treasures etc)

    so much room for chocobos to grow

    No thanks, Chocobo digging from FFXI was lame.

    We already have digging and treasure hunting through mining, fishing, through your character.

    Something worth doing with the chocobo will come but I hope is has nothing to do what you are asking, I like how treasure hunting and collecting maps the way it is now.

    I'd like to see chocobos become usable while waiting for Duty finder and potentially find a way to make them work like minions instead of counting as another player. I think it would add a nice dynamic to dungeons and full party excursions, maybe even give some leeway to Damage dealers and healers so they can get a bit more involved with the encounter mechanics like the tanks are currently.

    I would love for them to add chocobo digging, and the dailies idea sounds fantastic, assuming digging will happen when we delve deeper into ishgard

    I really like the idea of chocobo dungeons. I'd also like to see the ability to attack while mounted. Like, unique abilities for each job when mounted, or just chocobo unique mounted abilities.

    I'd like to see mounted PVP at some point, though I know it would take a lot of work to balance it...ranged classes would be simple enough, but maybe melee classes could have the chocobo kicking or pecking for a lot of skills? Being able to use them in dungeons would be great, too.

    My #1 wish is to be able to keep my chocobo out while in duty finder, though. How hard could it possibly be to automatically de-summon it when you start loading an instance?

    I feel bad for my poor bird - I almost never use him for anything anymore. I think it'd be nice to have some chocobo training grounds where you could increase their base running speed or teach them new commands like sprint.
