Question about Event items

I just would like to know if i Spiritbonded 100% a item like the Bohieman Coat and i change my character to female and go to the calamity vendon to switch them out will i still be able to (this is a just in case scenario) im asking beacuse once an itemm is 100% its pretty much stuck with you at least in my exprience (outside of converting them)

I don't think there's any difference between a 1% and a 100% spirit bond, at least in regards to how 'stuck with it' you are? The moment you do anything that gives exp, the item is bound to you, end of story.

However, storing an item in the armoire also resets its spirit bond back to 0, so even if this were an issue, all you'd have to do is stick it in there and take it back out again.

Basically, no. Event items usually cannot actually be converted to materia, even though they can still be spiritbound (items that cannot be converted will say so in the item description).

Considering most event items are usually also unique and untradable, that usually means that you cannot sell them either anyway, regardless of their spiritbond.

Visit the Calamity Salvager in any city to 'reclaim' your items.

You can also then swap them at the same vendor.


I put a thread up requesting this and it was added in patch 2.3, have a little dig around, you'll find it.
