Printing Fan Kit to a Poster?

I've waited since beta for SE to sell or otherwise distribute those nice posters I always see in the background for letters from the producer.

Since SE has no interest in selling me a nice poster, is it acceptable to print one of the Fan Kit images as a poster?

I need permission or my local Kinkos won't do it in the large size I want.

I would buy the concept artwork of Ul'dah in a heartbeat, it is already my wallpaper on all three of my monitors.

I wish SE would sell something... there isn't any merch outside of the 1 cloth banner that came with some versions of the game and a few CDs. 1.0 had some merch but nothing since the servers went down.

Yeah, or shirts/pins/patches/stickers of the jobs/classes. Those would be awesome too.
A fan tried to make some and sell them but SE shut them down very fast.

Finding someone to print it shouldn't be a problem if your local Kinkos wont do it. The real issue is if the Fan kit has the proper resolution for it to look good as a poster.

While you should need to ask for permission to reproduce the artwork...considering they make it publicly available and free to download I doubt SE is going to come after you. Take your business to a local print shop not a chain one like Kinkos. Chances are you will get a better product in the end anyways.

Maxmimum Resolution is 1920x1080, which is rather short for a high DPI poster-print, however up scaling most images isn't too difficult from that resolution.

You can make your own poster, you just cant sell it for profit.

its the same as people making wallpapers but they are free, if people started to make profit off their material then SE would shut them down.

Other than that, they aren't gonna give you permission cause you didn't say you would profit or not profit from it.

I don't go with paper anymore.
I wonder if there is a place to make you cloth posters, so you don't have to tear them up or down.
I get these, this is what im talking about.
