    The trouble is, these error codes are simply placeholder codes that don't actually explain the underlying cause of the problem. This is why problems with billing are so difficult to fix.

    However, you said you're using 'Ultimatepay'. From what I understand, SE no longer accepts that as a payment method, as stated here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...81#post2230081 Unfortunately, all you can do is try another payment method like a prepaid time card or a credit card/debit card.

    You're more right than most people on the forums, but you're slightly mistaken. Ultimate Points will be going away soon, but as of right now, UltimatePay is still a valid payment option for Crysta. It's the last step when purchasing Crysta, just below where it says "Credit/Debit" Card. This will work around the errors 401, 406, and 601.

    HOWEVER! If you get an error that states the card has been declined, you may want to give your bank a call.
