Bard AoE for Titan HM not a good idea...

Hello All!!

Yesterday I was farming some Allagan with the Primals HMs and one member from my party asked me to not use AoE on Titan. Since I´ve been playing against them, I have been using my AoE without any complains. But I was wondering if you could help to know the reasons why is not a good idea to use them. Maybe I am doing it wrong and it is a real bad idea to use the AoE, so I don't want to keep making the same mistake.

Which AE and why?

Your AE abilities have a lower potency than single target and there is nothing else to hit in the Titan fight besides Titan himself (or the Heart when it's targettable).

Most AEs only are really worth using over single target when you have at least three mobs to burn down (this is of course discounting the AE that debuffs the mob's evasion but you shouldn't have to worry about that at all on Titan HM anyway).

So really it isn't so much that it's bad... As it is not-optimal.

I don't play BRD, so I just went and familiarized myself with the skillset a bit. To me it looks like Flaming Arrow is the only one you should use (and the only one I usually see people use) because the full potency is sufficiently high even on a single target and there's no TP cost. All of the other AoE moves are prohibitively expensive and deal less damage to a single target than heavy strike. If you were using Flaming Arrow, keep doing it. If it was something else, probably best not to.
