I threw out my animus book while placing it onto the hotbar, I messed up and it's my fault and I accept that completely.
However I would like to get somethings cleared in SE's policy.
・The request was made 1 week or more after the item was lost.
・A GM investigated but could not find any log evidence.
・You have requested an item recovery before.
・The item had materia attached or contained unique information
*It may be possible to restore the item in its initial condition
This is the part that's sending me for a loop. I requested to get my item restored. (Mind you it was completely new at the time absolutely nothing was done on the book) and I was rejoiced to get a reply within 20 minutes. However I was saddened to see that my request was denied on the ground of the final bullet point.
However SE gave me the option to read over the policy and give feedback afterwards. In reading the policy I found out that it could be possible (though not 100% guaranteed) that they could restore the item to it's initial condition.
I'm under the assumption that the clause in the policy would be in cases of items that have unique characteristics such as an Animus Book. After explaining my assumed thought on the clause I sent another response to the GM services. And I was given an automated thank you for requesting aid. And we can't do it.
To get another 1400 myth is more tedious then hard, and I'm not upset by that. I would just like some clarity for those that may have been in similar situations like I have been in. GM's please give us some insight into the policy and if situations like this are simply impossible to restore or if there is a way of being able to do so.
And to others in situations like myself. I would like to know about your experiences with the policy or GM services in general. Getting 3 automated responses and being told in the final one that we simply cannot do it and to move on have a great day is pretty poorly executed in my opinion.
