1.0 Weapon design> 2.0 glow stick rainbow vomit.

Dont get me wrong the glow on some of the weapons sometimes does look nice, but its going way overboard in my opinion.

Augmented crafted i90 gear they literally just threw two circles of glow around it.

Please Square-Enix consider creating nice looking gear again akin to FFXIV 1.0:
Mailbreaker
Astrolobe
Garuda's Spine
Artemis bow
etc etc

Unless the link changed by now, that does clearly show weapons in 1.0 (judging by the backgrounds).


Other than that I don't really get the complaint. All of the weapons mentioned by the OP are still in the game, and with the same animations as before. (Mailbreaker, Astrolabe, Garuda's Spine, Artemis Bow). I believe all weapons shown in the video above are still in the game.

If the glow is your complaint, you can always glamour something over it (though I will admit the augmented gear isn't my favorite either. But I'm not wearing it anyway).

To be fair, the glowy ones are boosted versions of the original non-glowy ones.
Though I'll admit that putting glow on it is the easiest way to enhance them, and that the augmented ilvl90 glow is kind of underwhelming/ugly.

Still, I think it is fair enough for +1 weapons/gear to just have added glow or decorations.
