    Hunts: Has anyone considered this?

    Simply why can't SE put a lifespan on hunts after they spawn?
    Like after someone spots them and they r rendered on their screen, the timer will start to countdown and the hunt will disappear after it reaches 0.
    So it will give a reason for hunts to be elussive, rare and not some fate for the everyday horde to zerg down.
    Just a suggestion lol?

    I would say no for these reasons:1) the target could disappear WHILE you are fighting lol. 2)it would entice more people to pull early to beat the clock. 3)And having a timer sounds like a fate and from your message you don’t want hunts to be fates. 4) this could tempt people to use 3rd party apps to know EXACTLY when they spawn.

    There is no such thing as "pulling early". It's open world content. This would be an actual good reason for it, not that I am for it. But when people constantly complain, moan, and cry through the /shout channel about someone "pulling early", this could at least then be a way of telling them to pack it in.

    I'd agree if it had a shorter respawn timer or if rewards were exclusive to the pulling group. Not that I'm advocating waiting 5+ minutes before each pull, just long enough for the people who are actually paying attention to get to it from the nearest crystal.

    Honestly, this probably won't stop until they introduce other ways to get seals. As it stands, we only have one real way to get them; and there's only a certain amount you can get within a given time frame, so of course people are upset when people pull early.

    Doesn't matter if you agree or not, it still doesn't change that there is no such thing as "pulling early" when it comes to hunts. You, at times, may think a mark is pulled early because you or your party didn't make it. Obviously the person who pulled does not think it is "early".

    I admit, I do appreciate it when people wait but the problem lies in the community and people expecting everyone to wait for them. It's ironic though that when someone begins to use the /shout channel to abuse whomever has pulled they try to portray the person(s) whom pulled the mark as selfish because that person didn't make it, and that same person didn't get contribution, and that person is upset because that person missed out. If that person made it, they wouldn't care about the people that followed. Didn't make a mark? Well that's just tough!

    When I miss a mark I think "fair game". Why? I think that because it's all part of the game. It's part of what you are buying into. Don't like it? Play something else, hunts are not compulsory. The Hunt is fine as is. Sure, there is always a possibility of making it better but that doesn't make it bad.

    The thing is, though, that a lot of the "early pulls" (gonna use this term in the absence of a better one) are also shooting themselves in the foot. At least on Balmung, it seems like most of the early pulls are actually simultaneous pulls of different A ranks, meaning that both groups are missing out on stuff. If people co-operate better, everyone benefits.

    As far as the other class of early pulls, where whatever group gets there first pulls without regard to other groups. . .I guess I just don't see the point. Unless something else has been called, there's no reason to rush from one to another. Seventeen A ranks are going to pop every 3 hours, regardless of how quickly they're killed, so why not give people a few minutes (I'd usually say about 3) before pulling? Killing them faster doesn't actually get you seals at any faster rate, after all. . .

    You could have it proximity based. "Os it on-screen", due to the fact that depending on your platform your draw-distance is going to differ would cause significant issues.


    But at the same time, no this simply wouldn't work and or help matters.

    I.e " i had to pull it as time was running out etc"
    Then ppl will be like oh ok i suppose or something like tht hopefully.
    Also it's only realistic tht creatures will move around/ go away after periods of time right?

    Also maybe refresh the timer after it is pulled and after that it will start the countdown again regardless if it gets resetted so the ppl who reset it will ruin it for everyone.
