New DoH Classes whatd I like to see

These are the classes I would like to see

Enchanter: Being able to enchant gear and weapons

Materiacraft - Able to craft materia (but I would like them to had materia slots into almost every piece of gear) people have not realized that materia can and does make a difference in the gear.
Scribe or add scrolls to to alchemy - scrolls to like run speed faster, or exp increase does like that. and could add enchants onto a magic scroll to be sold on MB

Alchemy - I would like a buff to this class, whats the point of a potion class if its mostly useless. (give us enemies that if we soloed we'd have to use this stuff), and I miss going into fights and the leaders be like "I hope you didn't forget you poison pots or antidotes"

I think this game needs some of these crafts. ANd they need to make some of the crafts useful. Not in just making gear, that doesn't even matter unless you REALLY want to do a certain dungeon and cant wait but most definitely materiacraft, and also putting materia slots on all higher level ilvled items like AF gear and weathered gear

When the Golden Saucer lands and Triple Triad is introduced I would like to see a DoL/DoH combo for the creating of cards - would make for a nice link to old FF8 where you could turn cards into items, I'm thinking desynth for this aspect

I think for materia crafting to work properly the entire materia system would need to be adjusted. Keep the tiers, but would probably want to add in HQ results -- sort of like they had in 1.0 (where different tiers of materia would allow for a range of stats). It might seem a bit weird to have a materia centric class and allow all other crafting classes to infuse materia as well, but perhaps a small benefit like being able to infuse materia into any type of weapon or armor would suffice. It would certainly be a popular option for people who dislike crafting typically but want to use materia. I would like to see them actually be better at melding... I'm not sure that would really upset any balance since to be very good at crafting currently you really need to level up all crafters, so it's not like it would change the dynamic in that respect.

Enchanter feels too much like what materia already does (or really, what I'd like it to do) to me. Maybe there's room for both, but ideally I'd like to see them combined. If one could use materia on raid gear, and materia existed to enhance abilites/ traits as well as stats, I'm not sure what the difference would or should be. I think the answer should be more and more interesting materia from a materia crafting class to do any sort of gear enhancements.

I agree that alchemy needs a buff. I'd imagine that the vast majority of people who leveled the class did so only for tricks of the trade and comfort zone (and to have all crafters at 50). They make so few things that people find useful, and even those few things are often weapons. There are just so many problems with medicines in this game, it feels as if the game was built around the idea that you'd never need them and to reinforce that notion they were made to be fairly weak. I feel like it would be very difficult to balance the addition of useful medicines with current battles. Perhaps as an interim measure they could make stat enhancing medicines work more like food (weaker potency over a long duration). Then at least people would use them and you could accurately predict that behavior (eg. DPS will always be using STR potions in raids). It would give alchemists something of a purpose while smarter people than myself figure out something more imaginative to do with that problem.

Alchemy - Spine drops from alchemy don't even remove all paralysis effects - A rank hunts use paralysis that is not dispellable by them (Maahes, Alectyron, Melt). Gold Needles work on Maahes and Alectyron, but they fail on Laideronette because S marks use turn 7 petrification, called Stone Curse, which is undispellable again.

What about masonry? I would like to see things crafted out of stone, besides houses and stepping stones. They could use a Chisel for their mainhand, and a hammer for their offhand (would love something besides yet another hammer, but it's all I can think of). We could have stone armor sets, stone blades spears, stone swords, stone staves, stone fists, or whatever else. I mean, think of the possibilities!

What makes the most sense to me is to add in a new DoW class that uses weapons primarily crafted out of stone at the same time, and have stone armor sets, and some miscellaneous goods like materials, house walls, sculptures, the rest of those housing goods that don't really make sense on the given crafting class.

Currently there aren't many stone crafted items (and then most of those are for housing). I wouldn't want to take away many items from current crafting classes but some items could be rearranged where it makes sense.

Given the current vertical gear layout this wouldn't work. You'd either have pointless enchants or required enchants. Or the same thing we have with materia where you can't enchant end game gear

Materiacraft - Able to craft materia (but I would like them to had materia slots into almost every piece of gear) people have not realized that materia can and does make a difference in the gear.
No the problem is that end game gear can't use materia not that people don't think its good. But max melded i90 gear is only better than i110 gear in very rare cases. Also with the current SBing system how would you suggest they "craft" materia

Scribe or add scrolls to to alchemy - scrolls to like run speed faster, or exp increase does like that. and could add enchants onto a magic scroll to be sold on MB
Requires the enchanter class from above which doesn't seem that fleshed out on its own.

Alchemy - I would like a buff to this class, whats the point of a potion class if its mostly useless. (give us enemies that if we soloed we'd have to use this stuff), and I miss going into fights and the leaders be like "I hope you didn't forget you poison pots or antidotes"
Alchemy is perfectly fine. Okay it could use a boost to useful items in the middle but that can be said of most crafting classes. The reason they don't make Alchemy better is that they don't want to make crafting required for those that don't like it.

I agree it would be nice if you could put materia on everything but IIRC there is some lore as to why you can't and just think if you were max melding the i110 gear and then replacing it when the next content patch came out (or content patch +2)

I'd also like to see something like this, crafting cards or desynthing cards into items.

But.... what I don't want to see is a 1% drop from Twintainia as a material for a 4-star crafted card that then can maybe possibly desynth into a mat for a lv1 vanity hat.

I would think that Boneworker and Mason could be combined into one DoH class, since they both make very specific types of items that aren't very common. Ideally we'd get extra gear made of bone - weapons, armor, and accessories could all work. FFXI also had a boneworker class.
