hunts are still broken, se has created a monster i think

if your on a ps4, and dont have teamspeak, you will not be invited to a hunt party, and when you try to fight an a or s rank, someone will keep running it out of bounds, resetting it, until the teamspeak crowd arrives. if you respond that your on ps4 and have been invited to a hunt party, your not on my server. the hunt has created a perfect opportunity for the pc crowd to isolate and hinder gameplay of anybody else. what is important here is not the fact that a new 'clique' has evolved that isolates people, but the fact that you cant participate in hunts because they wont let you, because they can reset the mob.

ive never run into this mess on cactuar. i have seen early pulls of course. and once or twice ive seen the reset thing.
but im on ps3 and the biggest hurdle i have is pumping out enough cure 3s to get credit for a hunt that i can never see.
i did get lucky today and stumble across an S rank. put up a pf grp immediately, shouted in mor dhona and
waited for the horde to come. i guess SE was proud of me because they allowed me to see the giant throughout it all.
unfortunately, the same couldnt be said for my teammates as most laid dead on the ground and i had no way
healing/rezzing them. meh 1st world problems.

so report the reseters for harassment, they will be cautioned/dealt with (as my friend was back when hunts were new). Regardless of peoples feelings if someone resets the mob and it affects you they are being detrimental to your gameplay which is against the ToS. Not inviting you however is their choice and not something that can be forced on them. I dont understand why there is a need for TS when you can be in an LS and simply use a macro to report but each server has their own ways and its not up to SE to tell the community how they should play outside of basic courtesies.

So if my small group finds an A rank, you know, the size of group that SE intended, and the 100 mob horde zergs along and ruined our gameplay, can we then report them for ruining our fun in not being able to enjoy the content the way SE intended?

Just throwing that out there. Hunts in general, except for the thankful B fix, has been ruining this game.

No group when you are a ps player without TS. Crappy server. Doesn't happen on Shiva. @.@ The community of FFXIV is pretty good, but when it comes down to hunting, many people turn on their flame-qq- mode. Hunts won't be changed anytime soon.

That does sound very messed up. I grind A's and S's a lot on Famfrit and never had to deal with players like that.

The hunt community was one of the finest on Excalibur, for anyone else posting here make no mistake about that, very few early pulls off of peak times, faster searches more accurate results/spawn timers and condition discovery.


If you're not in the know;

The Team Speak was set-up as a way to co-ordinate a large number of parties, (allow people to find parties) and share hunt information as quickly as possible.

After just one week, the TS setup on Excalibur had pretty much the entire server coordinated and working together.




As for your personal issue OP, When I was stuck using a PS4 I simply said "I'm sorry, I can't access the TS right now, would it be okay if you typed the open locations/hunt-calls?".

No-one had any problems with that and obliged without a hinder, and I did this for over two weeks, and this was when B Ranks were still relevant.

im gonna try that, BUT, when they say in shout "get on ts if you want an invite", that pretty much sums it up. and if by the entire server means except me and my friends, then i guess ya, the entire server was co-ordinated lol. i dont want to report anyone, i dont mind if someone doesnt invite me to a party, i do mind you taking my chance to fight a mob. please fix it so mobs cant be reset. thats my gripe.
