I cannot ride my Grand Company chocobo

I completed the quest "My little chocobo" back in 1.0 before Realm Reborn was released. I was in the Maelstrom Limsa Grand Company. So, I had a company chocobo that I could ride. I had already gotten the whistle for it.

When Realm Reborn was released, I progressed through the story and chose Twin Adders as my Grand Company. That grand company never gave me the quest "My little chocobo", in fact, it does not show up on my list of completed quests in Gridania (Twin Adders) to this day, but it is completed in my list for Limsa (Maelstrom) because I did it back in 1.0 before Realm Reborn was released. The bottom line is, I was never given the chance to do the "My little chocobo" quest in 2.0, so I was never able to get the company chocobo whistle from Twin Adders. I think the game automatically bypassed the quest. I did not think this was a problem at the time, but now that chocobo coloring is out, I'd like to be able to ride the same chocobo that aids me in battle. Twin Adders did give me the quest "My feisty little chocobo" which I did complete. But that only lets me summon the company chocobo to battle, not to ride.

Please help me, I don't know what to do, or how to fix this issue on my end. I tried switching back to Maelstrom to see if the quest "My little chocobo" was there, and it is not available, even though I've completed the story and I'm level 50. Neither Twin Adders or Maelstrom will let me progress to get a 2.0 chocobo whistle. Every time I try to mount the combat chocobo, it says: "Unable to execute at this time" but this feature was added in a recent content patch, and should be working.

What I need from customer support, is someone to add my company chocobo to my list of mounts available in game, or to give me a new chocobo whistle for Twin Adders or Maelstrom. Or, tell me if there is a work-around I can perform to fix this. Or worst case, please give me a number I can call to contact support in person.

Did you ever checked if the Calamity Salvager NPC has your chocobo whistle from 1.x?

BINGO, CALAMITY SALVAGER! Thank you so much for letting me know, I had no idea this guy existed! Sure enough there it was, the whistle, last item in the salvager's list, along with all kinds of good stuff I never knew I had sitting in reserve! I can't tell you how relieved I am. I had searched google but found no one having this issue. Thank you thank you thank you sooo much! High fives and fist bumps all around. I've retrieved the whistle and consumed it. I actually do have him stabled at this very moment digesting some pineapples to change the feathers, which I don't want to waste, but I'm 99.9% sure my problem is solved (I can't summon him atm because he's stabled). Thanks again. This ticket can be closed. I'll open a new one again if I continue to have any issues.

It is not stabled. I've actually had this problem since before stables were implemented, long before. I've been ok riding the legacy chocobo but now that there are all these amazing in-game features for company chocobos I'm feeling the pain. I have yet to check the calamity salvager, I'll get back to you on that.
