I'm not happy with my Bard Help me pick a new class

I don't get why people come to a forum to ask what class they should be playing. Only you will know what you like best and it's so very easy to try a class/job on this game. I tried all of them, now have all battle classes 50 and am never short of variety, all on 1 character.

I would recommend unlocking every class and just giving them a go. No class is going to be quite like it is at 50 when you're level 1, but you do get a very good feel for it. If you don't like the global cool down then MNK would be a good place to start, although it's significantly harder to master than BRD.

1st off you need to stop referencing other games and your experience playing other classes in other games, open your mind and you will learn a whole new mom experience.
This is ffxiv not all those other games you reference.

I will refer to other games because class is not a BARD only 3 attacks heavy shot, bloodletter and Misery's End rest of it dots and buffs with cd's go play wow 90 Hunter than come tell me why is BARD so Awesome :3
Its not a bard just a bad Archer, Hunter
Only played wow MOP a not long only did LFR mogu'shan vaults, Arena and Ranked Battlegrounds with Paladin/DK than quite for while.
I pre order WOD and again in SOO i made level 90 Hunter because friends recommend it made throw SOO NM it what see poorly made Archer/hunter class in FFXIV.

After each dot i apply there is 2.5 seconds cooldown on all my main skills there no passive like in Heavy shot refresh my buff and dot one.


Aion Bard/songweaver is form i can call bard support/Heal/DPS.
Tera Mystic Aura's last forever if know rotations right and you not run out of mana class Heal/Support
Archeage Songcraft has nice several buffs form what i have seen.

No, this IS NOT WoW, Aion, Tera, or ArcheAge, this IS FFXIV ARR, where you CAN play ALL the classes as one character. So, why not try them all?

Well tell me why we call a Bard a Bard in FFXIV while 90% Archer/Hunter skills with cooldowns there on primary attacks?
It has no real supporting skills besides been a Hunter that badly copied form world of Warcraft this class is called Survival Hunter.
Tell me what mmo's did played seen a bard with no real supporting abilities mmh?
If don't have real argument say about bard please move other thread.
For me Bard need serious rework

about leveling sure if you call fun compared to Guild wars 2
Even leveling system to slow compared to Guild wars 2 15 days took me reach 48.
quests where about 5 levels below me very time that why asked about peoples experience about the other classes.

Are you playing FFXIV ARR, or trying to play FFXIV ARR as some other MMO? If you want FFXIV ARR's Bard to play like how other games play, please go play those games.

In many endgames runs, many parties requires a Bard in their party makeup. Brad works fine in FFXIV ARR as it is designed. It works quite well with ALL other FFXIV ARR classes.

Even Aion has nice combo skills for there archer.
you know much dmg do just with in 8 seconds normal mmo's with Archer classes tons of it :3
This just a Warlock with Bow and Arrow.
Developers should copied good instant of bad made some unique innovative
Like most mmo's Rift, Aion and archeage has supporting elements on Bard like classes
What see is just a Hunter and Mystic form tera

you should first take look these skills form Tera and Wow

Wow just mana, TP buff last for 60-120 sec and a running buff you cant use combat.
Foe Aura that that attract mobs all around that only magical classes benefit form it :3
Afterwards just 2 main attack rest of are dots
