I'm not happy with my Bard Help me pick a new class

Seriously, you need to LEARN how to play Brad, FFXIV ARR style, and not based on your game play thinking you can play it just like how you do it in other games.

When I play Bard, I generally use at least 6-8 attack skills, 6-8 self support skills, and 2-3 support songs in my rotation. Maybe try using more skills and you will enjoy it more.

If not, as I, and many others, have said, you have 8 Dow/m classes to play, go pick another one if you do not like Brad.

Not everyone can or want to play a supporter, if you want your Brad to be main DPS as it is designed in ARR, you picked the wrong class, plain and simple. No different then I will never expect my WHM to out DPS my SMN.

This IS ARR, not WoW, Tera, or anything else, accept it.

If you're going to say bards "only have 3 attacks and the rest are DoTs" at least look at the skill descriptions and note that venomous shot has a higher base power than SMN/SCH's "basic attack" Ruin, AND inflicts DoT
The attack cycle for bards has a lot of variance based on what procs you get, and you have to know when you need to sacrifice damage for increased MP/TP gain, or when your BLM/SMNs could use a little boost with foe's.
also DoT's ARE attacks. Pigeonholing DoTs as not being worthwhile basically says you don't think the SMN class is worthwhile.
The Bard advantage is two-fold: buffs to help ensure the party doesn't run out of resources, and MOBILITY. Until you've run things like Titan (ANY difficulty, really) or T6 you just can't understand how much of a deal breaker being able to attack while moving really is. Against dummies bards parse rather low vs. Monks. In actual combat, Bards will outpace them depending on the fight, since they don't have to break their cycle.

Bard in this game is fine as is i think. And those that say this is not a true dps well it does have support functions (songs) but so does drg (dissembowel) and other classes as well.
Bard damage is not so low as most people think, very much just something people have in their mindsets as i have seen and i myself have done more dps then other classes.
The advantage being mobility, because other classes depend on position or minimizing movement. I know sometimes when i do some dungeons as dragoon i say to myself gods these rotations seem slow i should have gone Bard and be done with it
