I'm not happy with my Bard Help me pick a new class

    Hello very one,

I'm not very satisfied of my Bard i think should needs rework.
I know its not Hunter form Wow, Its not a Bard form Aion or a mystic form Tera.

Wow part is that need keep applying dots on Target but once a attack most abilities get a global cooldown beside certain abilities like Bloodletter.
I wow as recall just 1 and 2 if you play survival dots you need apply your self
This ability Foe Requiem worse Aura you can have rater have the critical buff.
Because only magical classes benefit form it once Foe Aura open you arrgo mobs around you this my opinion.

What I'm looking for is a Healing class like a White mage or a Scholar
    Or something melee Dps.
Would like to know what your experience is with class also?

If you don't like applying DoTs to monsters, you probably won't enjoy Scholar much, because you'll be doing that as well as healing in most cases. If you know what you're doing and macro things properly, though, Scholar is a very effective and powerful healer, and arguably better than White Mage in many situations. And remember, you will have to get Arcanist up to 30 before you can ever even touch Scholar. White Mage, in my opinion, is a little boring to play compared to Scholar, but give it a try and see if it's anything you enjoy, in my opinion, the only area in which it surpasses Scholar as a healer is in AoE heals.

I didn't much enjoy Pugilist/Monk and never played it much so I'm not much help there. Dragoon has a lot of things that require positioning to either the side, or behind a monster, and it also has debuffs that you should be applying periodically, just as Bard does, with disembowel and phlebotemize. If that's something you think you'll enjoy, give it a try. I think it's a fun enough job, but you do have to be paying attention and know what you're doing to be able to play it well.

My best advice would be to play whatever classes you're considering, and see for yourself if you enjoy playing them.

Black Mage should be good, its really just one dot so its hard to miss. The class itself is very straightforward.
[Thunder (Level of Thunder is usually base on your mana/situation, and always use Thunder III if you get a proc) Fire III -> Fire I spam (Use Fire III if you get a proc)-> Blizzard III -> repeat]

The only difficulty of this class is that good positioning is required to perform good DPS, but if you know a fight then this isn't a problem.

melee DPS in this game are more harder to play and more complicate than Bard.

White Mage and Scholar are both good but I like WHM more as it has better offensive spells. WHM is the king of hunts too.

BRD can be fun if you keep at it as for now it's the fastest class and if you use foe and other songs right then your one power house ^^ not in the dps but in other ways^^

Try out SCH. Might be more akin to the buff type class you are looking for plus the pet aspect

I don't mind dots used play spirit master on Aion and play warlock in wow.
Mostly Healer in all mmo's except wow just count not work with healbot and key bindings.
For Archer class find strange that my attacks go cooldown after using need 3 always apply them very time CD after one skill CD its just pisses me off only attacks do is 2 dots and 1 buff.

Though I do like white mage, white mage is over rated in Hunts. Get a scholar that knows what they are doing in hunts, coupled with a white mage (even two scholars will do it) and a group that puts out all effort (assuming all are present on the mob) and you end up with full credit every time. I put up Cleric Stance, have Selene do either melee or caster spell/skill speed ups (I tend towards melee first to help out the tanks and other melee work that agro), dot the mob with all the dots I have, take off Cleric Stance, Succor, do a few heals (Lustrate or Physick if needed), put Cleric Stance back up, refresh dots and continue with offensive spell. Any scholar worth their salt will do their job properly to contribute towards the encounter.

So yes, Scholar can be a great deal of fun but it really depends on situations (outside of Hunt). If you are just looking to heal, white mage or scholar will work. If you want to solo things, kill things quickly, do white mage. In regards to bard - I agree, it needs some serious loving. However, you can build up agro really quickly if you cycle through your CDs properly. That goes for any class for that matter. If you want up close and personal, can do monk or dragoon otherwise. Monk is a lot of work from what I have heard, so be aware and ask for pointers on that one.
