If you have a PSP/PS3 and have enough spare memory you can download every single one of the main line final fantasy titles off of PSN up through X-2. Final Fantasy Origins is FF1 and FF2 remastered. FFIII is the 3DS remaster ported to PSP. You can DL several version of FFIV, I would suggest the PSP FFIV Complete version, which also includes the FFIV After Years sequel. FFV and FFVI are ports of the PS1 anthology release but you have to buy them separately from each other. FF7 through 10/10-2 are all available separately as well, and the FF Tactics: War of the Lions remaster also. My favorite is FFVI, great story, great characters, great music, just an all around great game, and don't forget FFIX. Looks like you skipped over it, but it was a pretty awesome game too. Unless you're pretty hardcore into MMORPGs I'd suggest probably skipping XI, it's kinda in its twilight years now anyway, and it plays nothing like XIV at all.

As a huge fan of FFV, I can honestly say that it is definitely worth it to get the iOS/Android port of FFV, especially since the only other good, non-butchered localization version is the GBA version, which is kinda hard to find these days. If you do get it, however, I would recommend a mobile device with a decent-sized screen, like an iPad, but it's not necessary.

As for FFVI... I have heard fans of that game being up-in-arms about their game's remake. I haven't personally tried it and have never really cared much for FFVI much in general, so I can't comment here nor there about it.

Just take it from me. If it's one of the NES-era or SNES-era titles, avoid the PSOne Classics versions of those like the plague. The localizations of some of them are just so bad.

The sound of FF VIII is still midi while they've updated the music of VII with higher quality music.

I'm sure many of you will freak out if you hear this but my first Final Fantasy was FF13, and I enjoyed it a lot. I then got curious about the series and bought a PSP just to play Crisis Core. And from there, I watched Advent Children and then tried FF7. Till date, I have played (not just the main title) FF7, FF8, FF10 (the HD remaster one) and FF13 (and of course FF14 AAR).

So, I have always heard how the other FF games are awesome, but it's not exactly easy to find them. I then saw some FF games on android and wondered, would it be worth it to buy them on android or can I find some PC versions of them?
If you are a fan of the old school style FF, then Final Fantasy Dimensions is a good one (Android and iOS).

Doesn't the PSN have some of the older FF games?

If you have a psp then you can get some of the remakes like FF1 and FF2 and a few others?
I forget the whole list lol.

Steam is also getting a few copies so you should check them out since steam has good sales. ^^
