from standard to ce [ps3]?

so i bought the standard edition of ff14 on launchday and i was pretty happy with it but my girlfriend overheard me saying a few times that i wanted a fat chobobo so i opened my birthday gift and get pretty excited (was expecting slippers or chocolates..)
after messing about on ps3/laptop/phone for about 2 hours the security token thingys finally working, havn't been able to log in until just now, did nothing differently but somehow it works now.. but in the box are 2 flyer/leaflets with ARR code and a SE Members code, one with 12 characters and one with 17 and nowhere on the mogstation can i see any registration boxes allowing for 12 or 17 characters - it just says 'upgrade to digital collectors edition' everywhere.. i don't want the digital version though, where's the 'upgrade to collectors edition' button?

Don't registering the code!

You can't register both copies of the game to the same account, you'll have to sell that copy (or give), and upgrade to the collector's edition. You can't add a PS3 service to an already existing PS3 service, even if it has CE on it.

That being said, the correct code is the one on the back of the manual, it goes on the PSN Store.

That seems a bit shitty i try and avoid buying digital stuff cant beat a good old box ><
