Does anyone else have keyboard and mouse delay on PS4?

Because nearly a 1 second delay on input is inexcusable. Controller has no delay whatsoever, but the keyboard and mouse do. (Yes, the mouse has a delay for movement/etc. as well.)

Furthermore, when the launcher is opened from the PS4 menu, the mouse cannot be used on the launcher, only the controller controls the mouse there.

Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate (2013)

if this keeps up, I'll have to wait 3-4 years to save up for a new computer to just play FFXIV Reliably. (Since my current computer will BSOD randomly on max settings, even though it should be able to handle max settings. it will also randomly BSOD, no matter what, when sound is enabled. The former is mainly due to the fact I'm not willing to get a taxi or bus my HAF-X case across a 4-Lane highway to get a fan installed, because I have shaky hands. Furthermore, the BSOD Dumps say that the Intel and Intel GPUs are at fault even when the Intel GPU is disabled in the BIOS. I also had problems before with my GIGABYTE BIOS being corrupt.)

Only making 800 USD/mo is a real downer, isn't it. When I get Destiny next month, hopefully I won't have any issues playing that, even though I suck at aiming, more so than PC on Consoles.

There have been many post's on this subject. It seems hit or miss. Some people say they don't have any delay, while others do. I use a Logitech wireless K400 keyboard with no issues, I don't use a mouse though.

I use a cheap Dell mouse that came with an old PC from years ago and I have noticed no delay so far. Although I prefer the controller when playing on PS4 so I can relax on the couch.

I played on a friend's PS4 with my standard non-fancy USB alienware mouse & keyboard. The delay was like night and day. And it seemed impossible to turn up the mouse speed. It ruined the whole experience for me.

Frankly I notice any delay from any wireless device... Even my DS4. that said, I find to response time for my logitech wireless trackball to be entirely acceptable.

Honestly, just try a different brand

Yeah OP, I get a lot of typo's when using PS4 ,_, I stick to PC when I know there's a lot of typing.

I just tried the diskless download via the library menu, and it still has a delay in FFXIV for mouse/keyboard use. I might have to buy the logitech bluetooth keyboard/mouse and see what happens when I try those. But I doubt it will be any better, considering the delay only happens in FFXIV. Also tried setting the keyboard delays to short and fast in the devices settings, that didn't work either.

And as I said in the OP, the controller for PS4 does not delay at all, but Keyboard/mouse do. (There is a delay when switching classes/jobs via hotbar in comparison to using skills when using a controller though.)

I had the same issue earlier this morning, you are not the only one having this delay(2-3 secs with me) on ps4.
i have a logitech k560 or something wireless KB and mouse so im sure my hardware has nothing to do with it.

Hope its a temporary thing.

I think ps4 new and FFXIV also the platform i think it needs be to be patched
Only issue i have now when play on pc i get delays not often form 1 to 3 seconds.
Due the servers are US and Canada i play form EU

No delay here. Just a regular wireless logitech keyboard :P
