Apocatastasis is great for the water sprites too.Never speed run the water sprite stuff in Hullbreaker without a WHM. It doesn't work. Especially not with a WAR. (Unless you get lucky and have two BLMs who know quickflare and quelling strikes.) I died too many times even with a WHM as an i94 Tank (Both PLD and WAR) On those bits. I made a macro as such for my tank:
@OP - trust me, this behavior disgusts me too. I always let new people watch the cut scenes when I tank.
That's part of the prob with this game i was running Copperbell Mines last night with my new friend she just joined anyways we get to the slime boss and my friend kills the bomb 2 times i tell her to let it beeshe forgot big deal^^ but one of the players try's to kick her and tells me and the tank to kick her. And i'm like omg chill out shes new and this is a low lvl map but it's like some ppl

So what you are saying is you expect a tank class where you can hold hate with magic attacks thus tanking it from afar expecting the mob not to run up to you cause you have top hate (since you hate "close up" tank). That logic. The developers are also trying to make dungeons have gimmicks and mechanics to force players to not speed run as much as possible. (Fire walls in Stone Vigil Hard. Sifaka Killing in Hullbreaker, etc.) I'm glad they're doing this, but I've since hung up my tank gear completely, in hopes they'll add a magic tank class in the future that I can get into. I'm not a fan of close up tanks. (Nor am I fan of stat-based tanks, such as EVA and Dodge Tanks.)
As for the whole DF kicking, they really should just make it so that you can't initiate a kick when someone is in CS. They've done it for in combat, when loots are available, I don't see why they can't do it for CS as well.

There's already a semi-tank like it in Perfect World International. I also made such a tank in my class/job suggestion thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...gestion-ThreadSo what you are saying is you expect a tank class where you can hold hate with magic attacks thus tanking it from afar expecting the mob not to run up to you cause you have top hate (since you hate "close up" tank). I mean, I don't like to use shield lob / tomahawk / flash / overpower to grab aggro off of BLMs/etc. I'd prefer to be a magic tank to do that.
Regardless of what style of tanking you do, you are going to be close up because you have hate, unless the mob is designed to attack only from a range. So if you are not a fan of close up tank, you probably just shouldn't tank. There's already a semi-tank like it in Perfect World International. If only it did :/ Just the other day, I got 90k'd in hullbreaker (as whm, so the queue isn't too bad but still) and I'm back within 30 seconds....to standing back in mist because apparently they're too impatient to wait a few seconds so they kicked me lol
Semi-related, but if someone d/cs and I mean actually d/c, you shouldn't be able to kick them for ~2 minutes. Sometimes it does take a while to get back on (1-2 mins) or sometimes it can take a few seconds. Because it's not like a few extra seconds or 1-3 minutes more is really going to kill you >_>
I was surprised Square added the vote-kick feature to begin with; the abuse new players had to suffer through beforehand has only been increased with this feature.
Honestly, I pray Square learns from all of this and never makes the mistake of adding cutscenes to dungeons again. New players deserve to play the story unharassed, and even though a GM can punish a player after the fact, the only way to guarantee this is to put cutscenes in content that a player can do alone, on their own time.

The alternative of not having the vote kick function was insufferable. Leeching and trolling was a huge problem and you could only report them, the run was ruined either way.

They have an engine-side component that disallows certain interactions with players who are watching cutscenes, (IE: Stoneskin, cure, etc.) so it couldn't be too hard to have a system in place to disallow players from being kicked while watching cutscenes.

Ohhh dont do that, then people will just lock themself on CS and afk since they cant be kicked.
