    They should have just made it like Syrcus Tower, where you only get one piece of Loot a week and you can run it endlessly. That means you could help people who actually need the help. Furthermore, it's not as drastic as the HM craze was a year ago where people were selling runs. Mechanics in SCoB are so important that one person screwing them up equates to losing, not to mention most players haven't beaten T5. And you RARELY see T5 sells (or at least I haven't).

    In any case, I haven't reached SCoB, so I'll reserve judgement for when I hit it. The problem I see is that Raids are simply few and one of them is 100% pointless now (poor Labyrinth) because gear is becoming more and more obsolete every patch. If you do your dailies and participate in hunts, you can gear out whatever Job you want at i90 before even hitting 50 with myth/ASeals. They missed a huge opportunity with Labyrinth and they should have made the armor pieces i95 so that there's a remote reason to keep playing it aside from just fun. I know this view is based off of hindsight, but it makes me wonder how much foresight SE is putting into their Gear leveling philosophies. They knew Myth was going to become abundant, so why did they think making i80 gear would be a good thing in the long run? Glamour? It doesn't even look that interesting compared to other stuff (I know it's an opinion, but I know a lot that share it) and the gears' obsoleting sucks some of the thrill out of Labyrinth.

    This issues stretches into Ramuh Ex (and to a lesser extent, LeviEx) as well because there is simply no reason to play it when better gear is far more accessible and easier to obtain. Weathered gear makes Ramuh gear obsolete, plain and simple. I think Ramuh weapons are totally awesome for Glamouring, but you have a stupid percentage of actually having one show up. That also implies you can beat Ramuh Ex multiple times, which can be far more difficult without a Static. The rings aren't even that great compared to Weathered rings, not even mentioning how pointless they are when you upgrade the Weathered rings with now more accessible Oils. If SE would have made the decision to make Ramuh gear i105 to bridge the gap between Weathered and Unweathered, then maybe more people would attempt Ramuh Ex because you need something to do while farming Bloody Marks Logs, right?

    Square Enix needs to fix their gear progression. It's not looking too bad now because i90 gear is so available and decent, ST gear is good and everything else can be filled with Allagan/Weathered gear at least. However, they need to make sure the new Raids do not lose purpose/practicality because the gear is crud or even too good to the point where old Raid gear is obsolete. All that's required to prevent that is to up the iLvl requirement for the new Raids to the point where the players already have BiS/near-BiS gear. Also, imposing the same restrictions/liberties that ST enjoys is also a GOOD THING.
