I would really like to see a gate system. Have lockouts for new content for the first month or so, then open up as the patch goes on. So those who clear content will have that exclusivity for a bit, but then be able to help out those who are struggling with the content. It doesn't need to be six months or so between patches before we can play with our FC mates. Heck, I am still helping some guildies get through EX primals and T5. It would be nice to be able to help them while the content is current, but some exclusivity was had by having a gated system.

This is just how it is, eventually larger raids will come out might even get tweaks. Like trash mobs that actually have value or something. But meh if the games combat wasnt moving in slow motion i'd say you wont a much better game of its type. It's currently right behind rift and rift is behind WoW. As far as popularity.

admittedly, I haven't tried T6 yet, but regarding 5, I didn't like the slew of insta-kill mechanics, I'm fine with one or two but I felt that the number Twintania threw out was completely absurd (Fireball if taking it solo, twisters, her attack when you need to be in neuro-links, and then the purple fire around the edge, imo was just a few too many, Even just getting rid of that purple fire would make it a lot more manageable imo, I don't understand why game devs believe that "a difficult trial" is tantamount to "instant death".

I'm not happy with the current raid structure in this game. Horizontal progression won't fix it(It'll make it worse, imo). Removing weekly lockouts won't fix it(Hey guys! Now we're gonna raid EVERY DAY!!).

You know what will fix it? Bigger, more immersive raids. 12-16 boss raids, lots of trash thrown in to make it feel like we're, ya'know, raiding a place. The first couple of boss fights able to be downed by most people, getting progressively harder until you get to a final battle that feels like you should rip your shirt off and beat on your chest for a half hour after you beat it. And make it one instance, not all these turns. That'd be a start, at least for me.

Our FC gets nothing but war axes and sch books. 4 books in a row. We got people with a ilvl 70 sch with a 115 book. Before that 5 axes don't even take a war to T9 I single tank on pld. I bet I upgrade my novus relic to 115 before HA sword drops. Our dps don't have a single HA weapon cause they don't drop.

Just remove the RNG loot drops BS and exchange it with WoW's past tokens/emblems or current points

Well, the reason it is a bit of a problem is that they are making it a timed exclusive when they put the difficulty up so that only a small percentile can see it when it is current content. It's not quite as bad as seeing the next Tomb Raider being Xbox One exclusive when they did a rerelease of the last tomb raider game in HD on both consoles, but it starts getting there. That is why MMO designers started implementing multiple difficulties for the same content: it was a good idea in single player games since it let more people see content without alienating those interested in going for more of a challenge. That and truly hard content could always be added into the game in ways that wouldn't alienate most of the player base. Heck, teaser bosses and extreme modes abound in a ton of games and those tend to be the hardest content in those games, such as Bass in Rockman Network Transmission or No Light Yogg Saron from World of Warcraft.

Talk to people who are coming back to the game and those playing. That and pay attention to what Yoshida has been saying in live letters. It's not new information, Yoshi P. noted that a good number of players are just subbing for maybe a month at a time and then cutting their subscriptions, he simply views it as normal while I'm kind of questioning it.

This game doesn't really feel like it has a middle ground at the moment that gives suitable rewards. We're stuck with either hunts and ST or grinding Coil and Ramuh EX.

Their raiding experience would hold a lot more people for a longer period of time if they actually took it upon themselves to create multiple levels of difficulty instead of waiting until content is old and giving it an echo buff. The raid philosophy at the moment is that main raids are hardcore only, which became outdated over six years ago. The game has more than enough content to keep everyone happy as long as they can give the player base access to what is current content.

Also, they're doing something they need to cut back on considerably, and that's boosting item level. The content will have to keep becoming easier and easier to keep people happy because they get used to doing things at an accelerated rate. I'm already seeing discontent at doing older dungeons due to item level sync. The pacing of old content is noticeably slower than new content, sometimes as much as a ten minute difference in run time. This extends to every aspect of the game outside of raids/dungeons as well. What once upon a time was an acceptable rate of killing things at one point becomes unacceptable by first expansion. It starts at ten monsters for a kill quest, then they have to make it fifteen, and then twenty.
