Wait time in queue: 4 hours and counting.

Yeah, back on topic of the OP, I have an Arcanist that I dread leveling due to this (I'll probably go the route of SCH to 50, healers always win). When I want to level using DF, I just partner up with a tank buddy or healer buddy, that is a win situation! Also, as my WHM, i will proactively seek out the members in FC that need to level characters that have problems in the DF (ranged DPS I'm looking at you!). Just find a Tank/Healer friend as a previous poster mentioned!

I've signed up for every single current content Raid and Trial as a Summoner. I've now been in queue for over 4 hours. Is this normal? Because this is unplayable. 4+ hours of queue, only to likely get into a group of failures that can't handle the content.

No really, is this how it works now for DPS in the 2/3 of a year I've been away?

yes this is how it works, most tanks just focus on doing hunts, and just a rough guess (yes, i do not know if this number is accurate, but sounds very possible) that dps outnumber tanks probably 30 to 1, and 20 to 1 for healers
unless you're willing to tank or heal, you get to deal with long queues

also, i dont think many people really focus on trials anymore, you can thank SE for that though.....most trials are only useful for glamour.

Roulettes queues don't last too long for DPS (of course more than for tanks or healers.) Just one instance may have long queues. Even choosing a few instances may have long queues. And no, an hour or more is not normal, from my pont of view. (I don't know for Crystal Tower since they say it has very long wait times lately and never tried it for a long time.)

I haven't completed ramuh or levi yet but mog didn't take too long and I queued as dps. Also titan, ifrit, garuda, and the others were 5 min pops. Not a huge wait time. This is as a dps. I was working towards my final relics for blm and bard. Longest queue time I had was 25 minutes.
