    Regarding chocos...

    Hey all. Just had a thought about the upcoming patch and chocobos. What if, like XI, they had a quest that needed to be completed in order to be able to ride chocobos? A long quest chain that doesn't necessarily have to be difficult but something that would be interesting. It could explain the lore behind chocobos like why they were sick and what not. It would certainly help flesh out the world and maybe create more of an attachment with players and their mounts. What are your thoughts/comments on the subject?

    If this has been discussed numerous times before then I apologize. I didn't see any posts like this yet so i figured I'd share my thoughts.

    If I recall correctly, they did say that there will be a quest to obtain/train/use a chocobo.

    I like the idea of earning a choco, better than a simple money transfer. Maybe by gathering grand company tokens?

    At the moment, we know that we'll only be able rent Chocobos from the stables. Hopefully we'll be able to go on quests to get Chocobo eggs and raise them ourselves.

    Something like that would be cool too. It doesn't have to be a license. Maybe they were treated poorly and you have to earn the stable master's trust first before they let you rent them. Or, help a chocobo breeder breed them or something along those lines.

    i think feral mid/high level that attack you, and you got to sway it over a period of days out in the field (its there just for you everyone only sees theirs) and after enough feeding and it pecking at your eyes, you can call on it any where with greens, or you can pay a fee at any stable for a short duration ride
